  • Publication number: 20080277847
Abstract: An elastomeric bushing has an outer structural member within which is located an outer elastomeric member, a self-lubricating elastomer and an inner structural member. The self-lubricating elastomer is located between the inner structural member and the outer structural member and is overmolded with the outer elastomeric member to provide adhesion between the self-lubricating elastomer and the outer elastomeric member. The self-lubricating elastomer can be located between the outer structural member and the outer elastomeric member or between the inner structural member and the outer elastomeric member.

  • Patent number: 5122011
Abstract: A bushing assembly for use with an associated torque rod comprises a bar pin, an elastomeric bushing, and an outer sleeve. The bar pin has a middle section which is generally rounded but which features a flat portion between 30% and 40% of the axial length of the middle section. The elastomeric bushing bonded to the bar pin is compressively received within the outer sleeve so that the total height is reduced by approximately 10%. The edges of the outer sleeve are curled inwardly toward a longitudinal axis of the assembly.
