Patent number: 10817666Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for narrative content generation using narrative frameworks by receiving a first phrase variation and a second phrase variation and displaying an error indication when the first phrase variation fails to satisfy a criterion relative to the second phrase variation. If there is an error indication, alternate phrase variations are received and compared against the first phrase variation until an alternate phrase variation is selected that has no error indication. Additionally, multiple sets of operators for updating one or more narrative phrases selected for inclusion in the narrative content framework may be utilized to update selected phrases after inclusion in the narrative framework but prior to finalizing the narrative content to be output.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2016Date of Patent: October 27, 2020Assignee: STATS LLCInventors: Robert Allen, Joe Procopio, Robert C Rogers

Patent number: 10657206Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for generating narrative text utilizing data input from one or more data sources to drive the creation of a narrative text output. Narrative text is generated in accordance with sets of data that provide the scope of text to be generated. A narrative text editor permits automatic generation of narrative text automatically using pre-defined scope for the generated text, or under the guidance of scope input by a user. Generated text retains links to the origin structure and scope used in creation of the narrative text permitting quick troubleshooting of issues in the narrative text generation and rapid review and updating under the guidance of established rule sets or system users.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2015Date of Patent: May 19, 2020Assignee: STATS LLCInventors: Adam Long, Robert Allen, Ren Bauer, Robert C. Rogers, Anne Johnson, Joe Procopio

Patent number: 4438557Abstract: An areal array of tubular electron sources is disclosed for producing multiple directed electron beams. Sources (10) are located in a parallel array between a conductive back plate (12) at a closed end of the tubes and a conductive face plate (14) having holes therein aligned with the second open end of each of the electrode tubes (10). An electrical current source (30) is connected between the back plate (12) and face plate (14) to resistively heat each of the sources (10) to a temperature high enough for thermionic electron emission. Electron beams (34) are produced from within each of the tubular electrodes (10). Extraction means which may include a magnetic field from a coil (29) and an extraction lens (18) tends to withdraw the electrons from within the sources (10) in an intense, collimated beam (34). Beams (34) are accelerated toward a target (28) through a beam deflection unit (22) having holes (24) associated with each of the electron beams (34 ).Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1982Date of Patent: March 27, 1984Assignee: Woodland International CorporationInventors: Donald L. Parker, Wilbur A. Porter, Robert C. Rogers

Patent number: 4276121Abstract: An extendible hopper is mounted to the undercarriage of a pusher machine and is operable to be extended to engage the face of the coke oven battery, between the buckstays and just below the door jamb, to catch hot coke that spills out of coke ovens as the door is removed and the pusher ram is retracted. A bin is also mounted to the undercarriage of the pusher machine to receive the hot coke collected by the extendible hopper. Quench sprays are mounted to the bin to quench the hot coke, and suction means are mounted to the bin to draw off pollutants that emanate from the hot coke and the quench thereof.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1980Date of Patent: June 30, 1981Assignee: Koppers Company, Inc.Inventor: Robert C. Patent number: 4083753Abstract: A coke quencher car has a movable bed within a hopper that receives hot coke when pushed from a coke oven chamber. The movable bed is first elevated and then lowered to a horizontal position as coke falls into the hopper to more evenly distribute the coke therein. The bed may in some instances be fixed at an angle to the horizontal and in some instances the bed may be articulated and comprise a plurality of sections.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 1976Date of Patent: April 11, 1978Assignee: Koppers Company, Inc.Inventors: Robert C.
