  • Patent number: 5295591
Abstract: There is provided an improvement in a display rack for storage batteries and the like providing gravity flow of batteries to the front of the rack for retail customer selection and pick-up. An inwardly opening generally C-shaped front beam is secured to the front of the frame defining an array of equally spaced notches and projections, and an inwardly opening generally C-shaped rear beam is secured to the rear of the frame and also defines an array of equally spaced notches and projections which are laterally aligned with the notches and projections of the front beam. Shelf assemblies extend between the front and rear beams, readily adjustable laterally to accommodate various widths of batteries. Each self assembly is formed of a U-shaped member carrying a plurality of freely rotatable rollers. The front end of the U-shaped member fits into the notches of the front beam and the web of the U-shaped member is notched at its rear to permit positioning and support of the member into the notches of the rear beam.

  • Patent number: 5285909
Abstract: A push-back storage rack is provided for the storage of pallets. The storage rack includes a frame having at least one pair of spaced apart roller track assemblies, each being formed of a pair of two transversely spaced, longitudinal arrays of rollers to form a guide space between the rollers. At least one glide tube or pallet carrier truck rides on the rollers. Each glide tube is formed of a pair of transversely spaced frame members, each frame member having a lower rail portion riding on the rollers of one of the roller tracks. A guide is formed on the rail portions, and the guide extends into the guide space between the transversely spaced array of rollers. The track assemblies are inclined forwardly and downwardly toward the front of the storage rack, so that pallets may be loaded by pushing a first pallet backward on the glide tube, and the pallet on the glide tube will flow toward the front of the storage rack when the pallet in front of it is removed.

  • Patent number: 4313332
Abstract: A rotary forging or upsetting machine comprising an upper platen and a lower platen, the lower platen being rotatable about a first axis and the upper platen being rotatable about a second axis which intersects the first axis, the upper platen being mounted on carrier which is pivotable about an axis which passes through the point of intersection of the first and second axes, means being provided for adjusting the angle of the upper platen while the platens are rotating, and means being provided for applying a force to the lower platen to move it towards the upper platen so that a workpiece carried by the lower platen is deformed by the upper platen moving around the workpiece.
