  • Publication number: 20070209130
Abstract: A wringer roller mop comprising: an elongated mop head; a lever in rotatable communication with the elongated mop head near a first end of the elongated mop head; a plurality of rollers in rotatable communication with the elongated mop head near a second end of the elongated mop head; a linkage means in communication with the lever and in communication with a backing of a sponge refill; and where the wringer roller mop is configured such that when the lever is rotated, the linkage means moves in an upward direction towards the first end, pulling the sponge refill into between the plurality of rollers.

  • Publication number: 20060150531
Abstract: A wall panel 100 has an elongate hollow body portion 102 having a storage cavity 103 provided therein for retaining water. The body portion 102 has a rectangular cross-section defined by an inner wall 104 and an outer wall 106 held in spaced apart relation by two side walls 108a and 108b. Each side wall 108 is adapted to be joined to the side wall 108 of an adjacent wall panel 100? so as to form a wall tank 110 for a building. Each wall panel 100 thus forms a structural component of the wall 110, which is sufficiently strong to support a roof structure 112 thereon. The side walls 108 are provided with an opening 120 therein, adapted to align with a matching opening 120? in the side wall 108? of an adjacent wall panel 100?, to permit the communication of water from the cavity 103 in one wall panel to the cavity 103? in the adjacent wall panel. The storage cavity 103 is bounded at the top by a lid 132 and at the bottom by a base tray 130.

  • Publication number: 20050201862
Abstract: A wind turbine with at least one blade having a pitch axis that is offset laterally so that the blade does not intersect with an axis of rotation of the wind turbine, and a center of mass and an aerodynamic center are offset from the pitch axis in the direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the wind turbine. The blade is arranged so that the blade can pitch towards stall against the action of a resilient device and also so that the centrifugal loading on at least one of the blade and one or more components optionally attached to the blade, acts against the spring in a direction to shed power by pitching the blade towards stall and also so that the torque loading provided by a power conversion device acts to pitch the blade in the opposite direction, so as to reduce the amount of load shedding whenever the power is being extracted from the wind turbine.

  • Publication number: 20050029899
Abstract: A permanent magnet electrical machine comprises a first substantially planar member (9, 10) and a second substantially planar member (3) arranged substantially parallel to the first substantially planar member. The first and second members are rotatable relative to each other about a common axis substantially perpendicular to the planes of the first and second members. The first member (9, 10) is provided with an annular array of permanent magnets (7, 8) coaxial with the common axis and configured to provide a substantially axial magnetic field passing through the second member. The second member (3) is provided with a first annular array of flat coils (1) coaxial with the common axis and arranged substantially side-by-side in a first layer and with a second annular array of flat coils (2) coaxial with the common axis and arranged substantially side-by-side in a second layer. The coils (2) of the second array are offset in a circumferential direction relative to the coils (1) of the first array.

  • Patent number: 6591641
Abstract: The specification discloses a locking device for a cargo-container closure of the type comprising a pair of doors hingedly mounted to a body of the cargo-container, each door having associated therewith in spaced-apart relation at least one upright lockrod the lockrods being adapted for securement to the body in a closed condition of the doors, and in which closed condition of the doors the lockrods are laterally spaced-apart a finite distance. The locking device comprises a pair of separate arms, each arm having a principal length extending between first and second ends, the first end of each arm defining a stop adapted to confront one of the lockrods, and the second ends of the arms being adapted for secure interconnection in end-to-end abutting relation.

  • Patent number: 5826297
Abstract: A dustpan includes a pan with a lip at one edge of the perimeter of the pan floor and a wall surrounding the perimeter of the pan floor from one end of the lip to the other. A grip and a generally U-shaped footplate are attached to the pan opposite the lip. A member can be attached to the rear end of the grip and the footplate. The grip and the footplate can be separated by a void. Several of the dustpans can be nested. The footplate can be attached to points on the outer wall that are separated by a curve in the outer wall.
