Publication number: 20060026980Abstract: A turbine for generating power has a rotor chamber, a rotor rotatable about a central axis within the rotor chamber, and at least one nozzle for supplying a fluid from a fluid supply to the rotor to thereby drive the rotor and generate power. The flow of the fluid from the nozzle exist is periodically interrupted by at least one flow interrupter means, thereby raising a pressure of the fluid inside the nozzle. A thermo-dynamic cycle is also disclosed including a compressor, a first turbine downstream of the compressor, a heat exchanger located downstream of the first turbine and operable to reject heat from the cycle to another thermodynamic cycle, an evaporator downstream of the heat exchanger and a second turbine downstream of the evaporator and upstream of the compressor.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2003Publication date: February 9, 2006Inventors: Kenneth Drysdale, Paul Eves, Robert Casey

Patent number: 6959728Abstract: A multiple fluid flow controller valve device having radially disposed a number of valves and a central rotary shaft with cam surfaces functioning as the valve controller to open and close the valves in the desired sequence.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2004Date of Patent: November 1, 2005Assignee: AirSep CorporationInventors: Norman R. McCombs, Robert Casey, Robert Bosinski
-
Publication number: 20050047947Abstract: A compact compressor including one or more heads. Each of the compressor heads is configured with at least one of the intake and output valves incorporated into the piston head. The compact compressor also has a cylinder with a reduced mass, increased surface area, and metal to metal contact with the housing for greater dissipation of heat generated by the compressor.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2004Publication date: March 3, 2005Inventors: Norman McCombs, Robert Casey, Robert Bosinski

Patent number: 4696484Abstract: A towing dolly has a pair of supports between which a pair of wheels of a disabled vehicle may be cradled, the supports being carried by rails on which respective pairs of rocker arms are pivotally mounted. Each rocker arm carries a dolly support wheel and a mounting adapted to that a hydraulic jack may be positioned between the pair of rocker arms of each rail. Upon actuation of the hydraulic jack the rails and thus the wheel engaging supports are raised relative to the axles of the dolly wheels, thereby raising the wheels of a disabled vehicle cradled on the supports. A locking device is carried by each rocker arm for cooperating with a respective hold-down block on the rails after the rocker arm has been pivoted by actuation of the hydraulic jack so that the hydraulic jack may be removed while the disabled vehicle is towed.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1986Date of Patent: September 29, 1987Assignee: Dover CorporationInventor: Robert Casey
