  • Publication number: 20180352880
Abstract: An example glove includes a first enclosure configured to receive a user's hand and a second enclosure configured to retain a mobile electronic device, wherein the second enclosure is affixed to the first enclosure. The second enclosure may be disposed on a back portion of the glove, or on a palm portion of the glove. An example system includes a glove comprising an enclosure for receiving a hand of a user, an accelerometer, and a transmitter configured to transmit data generated by the accelerometer. The glove may further include one or more additional sensors, such as a heart rate sensor or a pressure sensor. The glove may further include a processor configured to collect data from the sensors and to perform analyses useful for fitness tracking, such as determining a heart rate of the user, a distance traveled by the user, or a rate of travel of the user.

  • Patent number: 9225393
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining whether a companion communication device is beyond a proximity of a primary communication device are provided. In some aspects, a system includes an analysis module configured to determine whether a wireless transaction between the primary communication device and the companion communication device is at a conclusion. The system also includes a communications module configured to emit a sensing signal based on the determination of whether the transaction is at the conclusion. The sensing signal is insufficient to elicit a response from the companion communication device. The system also includes a detection module configured to detect a present parameter associated with the emitted sensing signal. The analysis module is configured to determine a parameter change between the present parameter and a reference parameter, and to determine whether the companion communication device is beyond the proximity of the primary communication device based on the parameter change.

  • Publication number: 20060192656
Abstract: A transponder device comprises a transponder device clock having a transponder device clock frequency. The transponder device is operable to transmit a training bit sequence to a read-write device. The read-write device is able to calculate the transponder device clock frequency for the transponder device from the training bit sequence.

  • Publication number: 20060023822
Abstract: One embodiment of a method of generating a clock signal and synchronizing the generated clock signal with a digital data stream comprises generating a clock signal using an oscillator, identifying a transition in a portion of the data stream, and synchronizing a transition of the clock signal with the identified transition in the data stream by changing a state of the oscillator using control circuitry in response to the identification of the transition in the data stream, wherein the clock signal is synchronized with the data stream for both situations where the oscillator operates at a frequency greater than the data rate and where the oscillator operates a frequency less than the data rate. Other methods and systems are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050231328
Abstract: A memory tag has a memory with stored therein data, an operating program and a current password. The memory tag is operable, in response to a reader signal received from a reader, to run the operating program. This operating program is operable to check the reader signal for inclusion of a current token dependent upon the current password. If the current token is not identified within the reader signal, the memory tag does nothing. If the current token is identified within the reader signal, the memory tag is operable to read the data in the memory and transmit it to the reader.
