    Abstract: An Analog MOSFET balancing method using an analog circuit technique for automatically balancing leakage currents with at least two supercapacitors coupled in series. A respective MOSFET is placed across each of the at least two supercapacitors operating in the non-linear region near its threshold voltage where the drain current of the respective MOSFET varies approximately exponentially with its gate voltage. Each respective MOSFET operates with an appropriate and approximately equal threshold voltage to the other respective MOSFET.

The latching driver circuit is comprised of a complementary transistor, high voltage output switch which is controlled by a positive feedback silicon controlled switch which serves as the latching mechanism. The structure of the latching driver is of an advanced integrated design employing a plurality of lateral complementary transistors in two isolation regions.
