  • Publication number: 20090165807
Abstract: A device for safely cutting the lit end of a cigarette, extinguishing the cut-off burning ashes, and storing the unused portion of the cigarette for further use is provided. The cigarette cutter-extinguisher device is characterized by an actuator assembly with an internal actuator element, a cutter-extinguisher assembly which is characterized by an internal cutting element which cuts the end of a burning cigarette when inserted into the device and provides a barrier inhibiting oxygen availability to smoldering ash deposited in a receptacle. The internal cutting element allows for the safe use of the cigarette cutter-extinguisher device.
