  • Publication number: 20250102825
Abstract: A system for displaying a hologram includes a display assembly with a display device, and a motor coupled with the display assembly via a rotating anchor, the motor driving rotation of the display assembly and the display device from a first position to a plurality of positions around a complete rotation of the display assembly and the display device, the display device having a first display when in the first position and different displays when in the plurality of positions, such that the complete rotation of the display device causes the first display and the different displays to form the hologram.

  • Patent number: 8743109
Abstract: A stand-alone platform and a method for the multi-dimensional rendering, display, manipulation, and analysis of full high resolution volumetric data sets. The systems and methods provide the ability to volumetrically render images with extremely high resolution in applications such as medical imaging procedures, digital microscopy such as in use of a confocal microscope, and other areas where extremely large data sets are produced from the imaging process. Certain embodiments of the system and methods produce left and right eye images of the rendered data, for viewing in parallax via a synchronized headset, and the ability to manipulate the data and display of image data easily and in real time.

  • Patent number: 8554173
Abstract: A position locating device comprises a position determining unit for periodically determining the position of the device and storing position data in a memory. On activation of the device, a position transmitting unit periodically transmits a terminal identifier and position data, to a base station via a satellite. A power management unit controls the periodicity of the transmission by the position transmitting means. A position determining system includes the position determining device and a base station for receiving the terminal identifier and position data and relaying the information to a first responder.

  • Publication number: 20110125054
Abstract: A core biopsy device having a forward-facing cutting edge with either single or dual counter rotating blades is configured to acquire multiple biopsy specimens and temporarily store them within a specimen chamber located beneath the cutting edge. The core biopsy device is insertable and removable from a biopsy channel of an endoscope. The core biopsy device includes an endoscopically visible ruler with depth gauge increments. Other embodiments include deployable depth stops to restrain the plunging of the specimen chamber to not exceed distances preset or selected by the user. Multiple samples contained within the specimen chamber are removed via flushing from a syringe adapter when the device is removed from the endoscope. Alternatively the multiple specimens are removed under applied suction to an external chamber located outside the patient. The order and orientation of the removed specimens are preserved.

  • Publication number: 20050203979
Abstract: A random number source includes a ring oscillator generating an internal clock signal having random phase noise, and a first linear feedback shift register connected to the ring oscillator. A counter is connected to a first tap of the first linear feedback shift register for generating a count signal. A feedback bit controller is connected to a second tap of the first linear feedback shift register for generating a random feedback bit for a time based upon the count signal. A second linear feedback shift register is connected to the feedback bit controller for generating a random number based upon the random feedback bit.
