  • Patent number: 11754843
Abstract: This invention is augmented reality eyewear with a radial, honeycomb, or nested-ring array of selectively-movable reflective elements. These reflective elements can each be moved from a first configuration which is parallel to a line of sight from an eye to a second configuration which is perpendicular to this line of sight. The second configuration reflects light displaying a virtual image to the eye and blocks environmental light in the area of the virtual image. Since light from the environment does not shine through the virtual object, the virtual object appears solid instead of “ghost like.

  • Patent number: 11747769
Abstract: This invention is a smart watch with variable-configuration displays which combine to provide a larger combined display when needed. When a person does not need a large display area, then a plurality of displays on the watch fit around the person's wrist and/or arm in a relatively compact first configuration. When the person needs a larger display area, then the plurality of displays are moved into a second configuration which creates a large, coplanar, combined display.

  • Patent number: 11662819
Abstract: This invention is a non-invasive Brain to Computer Interface (BCI) method for interpreting a word, phrase, or command from brain activity by identifying a pattern of electromagnetic brain activity which occurs when a person uses different action modalities to communicate a word, phrase, or command. This method can enable people with neuromuscular limitations and/or paralysis to communicate. It can also enable people to communicate and/or to control environmental devices via their thought patterns in situations where communication via touch screen, keyboard, mouse, voice command, or gesture recognition is not appropriate and/or possible.

  • Publication number: 20230148868
Abstract: This invention is a wearable device or system for optical analysis of breast tissue which be embodied in a “smart bra” or an insert which is placed into the cup of a conventional bra. This device or system has light emitters which transmit light into breast tissue and light receivers which receive the light after it has been transmitted through the breast tissue. • Publication number: 20230125258
Abstract: Disclosed herein is augmented reality (AR) eyewear with at least one array of individually-adjustable optical elements whose levels of light transmission and/or reflectivity are selectively and individually adjusted by application of electrical current, or by exposure to an electromagnetic field, via transparent (or translucent) electroconductive pathways. Optical elements in this array collectively comprise a section of a Fresnel Reflector which has been selected (e.g. extracted or “cut out”) from the right side or the left side of a Fresnel Reflector.

  • Patent number: 11583289
Abstract: This invention is an intrasacular aneurysm occlusion device with a longitudinal mesh ribbon having a series of loops or segments with distal-to-proximal variation in their sizes, shapes, or orientations. For example, loops or segments can be progressively smaller in size and/or progressively more curved as one views the series in a distal-to-proximal direction. The device may also enable a user to selectively and remotely bend, steer, or elongate the loops or segments in real time as the ribbon is being deployed into an aneurysm sac.

  • Publication number: 20230042637
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intrasacular aneurysm occlusion device with a linearly-aligned proximal-to-distal stack of embolic structures which is configured to be inserted into an aneurysm sac and then radially-expanded and longitudinally-contracted. The stack can be shaped like a 3D revolution of three single phases (or one and half full phases) of a sine wave around its central longitudinal axis. There can be openings in the stack which allow insertion of embolic material (e.g. coils, hydrogels, or congealing material) into the embolic structures.

  • Publication number: 20220347027
Abstract: This invention helps a person in bed to avoid decubitus ulcers. This device has a flexible body support structure (such as a sheet or blanket) which is automatically moved from a first configuration, which is flat, to a second configuration, which enfolds and/or wraps around a person's body. The device turns a person from lying on their first side to lying on their opposite side by: enfolding the person in the support structure; rotating or pivoting the support structure; and then releasing the person by unfolding the support structure.

  • Patent number: 11484322
Abstract: This intrasacular aneurysm occlusion device includes a neck bridge with a closeable opening through which embolic material is inserted into an aneurysm sac. After the neck bridge has been expanded within the aneurysm sac, a catheter is inserted through the opening and embolic material is delivered through the catheter into the aneurysm sac. After the aneurysm sac has been filled with embolic material, the catheter is then withdrawn and the opening is closed so that embolic material does not escape out of the aneurysm sac.
