Patent number: 12042623Abstract: A patient care system is disclosed that includes a medical device such as an infusion pump. The medical device generates a data message containing information such as the status of the therapy being delivered, operating data or both. An alarm generating system assesses the data message from the pump and generates an alarm message if certain conditions established by a first set of rules are met. The alarm message is assessed according to a second set of rules as to whether to suppress the alarm message. The data message contains a required input for both the first and second algorithms. A dispatching system is adapted to forward the alarm message to an alarm destination according to a third set of rules. The alarm destination expresses an alarm upon receipt of the alarm message.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2023Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: ICU Medical, Inc.Inventors: William Kenneth Day, Steve Joseph Lindo, Paul John Foryt, Justin Joseph Schmidt, Robert Cousineau, Michael Kremliovsky, Sumant Ramachandra, Anatoly S. Publication number: 20210087932Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system to optimally set an anchor and a bullet within a bore hole. The anchor is comprised of at least two cutters connected to and positioned below spreading lamellae of the anchor. The cutters are comprised of a wide edge and a narrow edge, the wide edge having a width that is wider than the circumference of the spreading lamellae to facilitate the setting of the anchor. A space is also initially provided between each of the cutters and the bullet to reduce friction of anchor on the bullet during expansion. During setting, the spreading lamellae of the anchor spread radially over the bullet to set the undercut anchor within the pre-drilled bore hole. In another embodiment, the anchor is comprised of at least two angular cutters having a taper of several degrees to facilitate cutting through the cementitious material of the bore hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2019Publication date: March 25, 2021Inventor: Robert Cousineau

Publication number: 20170328066Abstract: The present invention provides for a marking system for use in concrete anchors, wherein the system is comprised of a setting tool with a rib to contact the anchor. Upon contact, the setting tool and the rib abrade a surface of the anchor and simultaneously create a score mark in order to indicate to the user of the concrete anchor that said anchor has been properly set. The entire anchor can also be pre-dipped into a lubricating substance to further facilitate the setting of the anchor.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2017Publication date: November 16, 2017Inventor: Robert Cousineau

Publication number: 20170232526Abstract: A ball bearing connector is provided, comprised of a setting tool further comprised of several steel balls which are biased either inwardly or outwardly by means of a biasing member. An easily interchangeable drill stop further comprised of an annular recession is position into or over the setting tool, and the balls located thereon fit in the annular recession to provide a releasable snap-fit connection between the drill stop and the setting tool.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 14, 2015Publication date: August 17, 2017Inventor: Robert Cousineau

Patent number: 9624770Abstract: The self-undercut anchor with carbide tip is designed to create a drill hole and enlarging the lowermost end of said drill hole by means of a carbide tip or cutting portion. The carbide tip or cutting portion is positioned in such a way so as to not obstruct the setting of the anchor by means of the spreading lamellae. Once said lamellae have been positioned properly and forced downward, the self-undercut anchor is set in place.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2014Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Inventor: Robert Cousineau

Publication number: 20170058932Abstract: An expansion anchor is provided, which is generally comprised of a drill rod, cone tip and anchor to create an undercut. In one embodiment, the drill rod is connected to the setting tool while in another embodiment, the cone tip is connected to the setting tool. In both instances, rotation of one or the other engenders a corresponding rotation from the anchor, which forces the cone tip upwards and into the anchor, which thus forces the anchor outwards and sets the expansion anchor. A sectional coloured threading is also provided to allow an operator to determine when the anchor is sufficiently set.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Inventor: Robert COUSINEAU
