  • Patent number: 9614899
Abstract: A system and method for managing website scripts includes operations which provide for user contributed website scripts for use by consumer users and computing systems providing services on their behalf. User contributed website scripts are used to periodically gather user data. Following receipt of a user contributed website script, validation operations are performed in order to ensure that the user contributed website script operates properly. Once an initial determination is made that the website script operates properly, award points are awarded to the contributing user, and contribution points are assigned. If performance of the user contributed website script fails after initial acceptance, the number of contribution points associated with the user contributed website script is reduced. If the number of contribution points associated with a user contributed website script falls below a predetermined threshold, the user contributed website script is rendered unavailable for use.

  • Publication number: 20150116219
Abstract: The Smart Mouse technology is a computer mouse with its own computer, memory, Software, OS, networking and GUI. The Mousetop Window GUI is the viewport into the mouse and gateway between the mouse and computer(s). The mouse becomes a computer network where data can be stored and retrieved in the mouse buffer memory, mouse memory or between connected computer(s). Software and licenses can be served from the mouse allowing the sharing of software and licenses across multiple computers in proximity or remotely located. Shared cursor switching, drag and drop data and other interactive functions are available. Profile storage in the mouse allows for multiple configurations of networking or isolating the window. Concepts like keyboard switching, biometric access, child security and numerous other novel concepts are included with this technology. Added physical features like removable memory and connectivity to other hand held technology like Iphone or Ipad provide expanded communication functionality.

  • Patent number: 8996890
Abstract: A system and method for enabling power conservation when making placement and relocation decisions. More specifically, a virtualized environment power conservation module enables power conservation when making placement and relocation decisions within a virtual environment. The virtualized environment power conservation module assigns virtual machines among a group of physical hosts in order to minimize the net power consumption. The virtualized environment power conservation module makes use of server power profile or real time power consumption data to make power consumption aware Virtual Machine assignment decisions. In certain embodiments, a server system exposes real power consumption (e.g. System Watts, Cumulative kWh. etc.) via system management interfaces. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the server systems may expose real power consumption via standard power profiles. These systems leverage PMBus-enabled power supplies to read the power metric information.
