Abstract: Automated zoom control and/or automated wide angle capture for digital camera systems and related methods. The camera is configured to have imaging apparatus that selectively couples images from an image scene to an image sensing apparatus that senses the coupled images. A processor implements an automated zoom control function that automatically records a plurality of closely related images having different zoom levels sensed by the image apparatus, and from which a user selects images for storage.

Abstract: Systems and methods that implement automated event creation for use in storing files relating to an event that is to occur at a predetermined time in the future. An exemplary system comprises a computer device, a peripheral device, and software, or folder creation apparatus, that creates a folder on the peripheral device when it is connected to the computer device into which files that are created on the peripheral device are automatically placed. One exemplary method accepts an event on a computer device, connects a peripheral device to the computer device, creates a folder for the event on the connected a peripheral device, and after the predetermined time, automatically places files that are created on the peripheral device into the folder.

Abstract: Methods and cameras having a menu that is customized using audio. The camera is configured to have a display and a customizable menu comprising a plurality of selectable items that respectively correspond to selected tasks or actions that may be performed. The camera is configured to have programmable speaking capabilities that comprise preassigned customized descriptors for each of the selectable items. When a particular item is selected, a selected action is performed.

Abstract: A system and method comprising a user device having a customizable share system that is external device driven, and which is configured by way of communication between the user device and the external device. The customizable share system allows a user to be aware of the capabilities of an external device that is connected to the user device. This is implemented using a user interface on the user's device, such as a camera or device display, for example.
