  • Publication number: 20190235480
Abstract: Systems and methods for producing vehicle components or components for use with vehicles or in other non-vehicle applications allow an end user to select and produce at a local job site, or optionally elsewhere as desired. The system and method can allow a manufacturer or designer to send a design for a component to a consumer for the consumer to produce. The consumer can then use one of a variety of methods, such as three dimensional printing or machining, to produce the component. The consumer can produce a component from a stock data file or can customize the component before production.

  • Publication number: 20070126201
Abstract: A roll formed step rail for a vehicle comprises an elongated rail body including a continuous rail wall of substantially uniform thickness. The rail wall describes a continuous cross-sectional profile between two elongated free edges, the cross-sectional profile of the rail being substantially uniform along the length of the rail body. The cross-sectional profile of the rail body includes a relatively flat top portion disposed between a substantially semi-circular front curved portion and a substantially quarter-circular rear curved portion. A rear mounting lip extends forward from the rear curved portion to one of the elongated free edges. A front mounting lip extends upward and then rearwards from the front curved portion to another of the elongated free edges. The elongated free edges are generally in line with one another, but spaced apart to define a longitudinal channel therebetween having a predetermined width. The rail body is formed from a sheet of material by a process of roll forming.

  • Publication number: 20050104539
Abstract: A high frequency sinusoidal wave is generated and applied directly to a gas discharge lamp in multiple phases in a power efficient electronic ballast. Uniting a high frequency current fed oscillator with a transformer, where direct current may be applied to the center tap of the transformer primary winding through an appropriately sized inductor to enable the impression of a sinusoidal alternating current at the secondary winding. This sinusoidal alternating current is applied directly to a gas discharge lamp. Feedback from the transformer controls the switching of the oscillator at resonant frequency.

  • Patent number: 6135070
Abstract: Disclosed is a two cycle engine designed and configured to replace conventional four cycle engines in a modern day automobile without any alternations, while steel accepting all of the accessories (i.e. air conditioning, power steering, alternators), without any modifications to the external structure of the engine block. This engine composites casting carbon--carbon cylinders, having carbon--carbon pistons located therein, into an aluminum block so all of the current external dimensions are maintained for manufacturing purposes.
