  • Patent number: 8460004
Abstract: An educational field chart used for observing the Moon. The two-piece chart has an indicator wheel joined with a background chart that depicts the Sun, Earth and the Moon in orbit. The pieces rotate to locate a moon phase illustration that matches the Moon in the sky. Once set, a user can automatically determine facts and aspects about the Moon during this phase. Information aligns on both pieces to tell the following about the Moon: a) the moon phase name, b) the position of the Moon in orbit going around Earth, c) the rise & set time of the phase, and when it is visible in the sky, and d) the approximate day of the phase in the lunar month. The illustrations on the chart also visually correlate the relationship of the Sun, Earth and Moon during each moon phase.

  • Patent number: 8237039
Abstract: An adjustable, spring-activated wing nut-less cymbal mount having a rotating stop arm that may be quickly opened and closed for easy mounting and dismounting of a cymbal and cymbal felts. The device is hand operated without tools and can be adjusted for cymbal play action, as well to better adapt to different weight cymbals. The device is self-contained to avoid misplacing parts during cymbal changeovers.

  • Patent number: 6467928
Abstract: A light fixture is provided having a mounting bracket and a light housing secured to the bracket. The bracket further includes a securing member for securing the bracket to a fixed surface, an extension projecting from a surface of the securing member, and a housing support placed at the end of the extension for supporting the light housing. The light housing has a receiver for placing over and mating around the housing support when the housing support is slid inside the receiver. To position the light housing on center with the bracket, a locating member connected to the bracket mates with and guides the light housing into a centered position. The light housing further includes a door and, when in a closed position, the door has a tab extending underneath the bracket such that the light housing cannot be removed from the bracket without opening the door.
