  • Publication number: 20230310284
Abstract: There is herein described a teeth whitening strip or film. In particular, the present invention relates to a dissolvable or substantially dissolvable hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) teeth whitening strip or film comprising a concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at or above 10 wt. % of the strip or film. There is also described a process for the manufacture of a dissolvable or substantially dissolvable tooth whitening strip or film along with the method of using a strip or film comprising a concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at or above 10 wt. % of the strip or film to whiten and/or bleach teeth.

  • Publication number: 20230210729
Abstract: A tooth whitening and/or tooth sensitivity strip or film comprising: about 1-20 wt. % hydroxyapatite (HAP). A process for the manufacture of a tooth whitening strip or film, the process comprising at least the steps of: —mixing at least one or a combination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymers wherein the amount of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymers is greater than 75 wt. % of the film or strip; and —an amount at least about 1-20 wt. % hydroxyapatite (HAP); and —at least one or a combination of polycarbophils; —with water to provide an aqueous tooth whitening liquid; —applying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid to a substrate to provide a substrate carrying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid; —drying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid to provide a tooth whitening film on the substrate, said film having a thickness from about 50 pm to about 500 pm.

  • Publication number: 20220226218
Abstract: The present invention provides a tooth whitening film. The tooth whitening film comprises a dental bleaching agent comprising one or both of a non-hydrogen peroxide bleaching agent and hydrogen peroxide in a hydrogen peroxide-polymer complex, one or more polyphosphates, said one or more polyphosphates comprising one or more cyclic polyphosphates, one or more water soluble film-forming polymers, one or more plasticizers and one or more emulsifiers, wherein the film has a thickness from about 50 ?m to about 500 ?m. A kit comprising one or more such films having a thickness from about 50 ?m to about 150 ?m and a dental aligner is also provided. A process for the manufacture of the film is also provided, together with a method of using such a film to bleach teeth.

  • Publication number: 20210259952
Abstract: The present invention provides oral compositions. The compositions may be provided in a solid form, such as a film. The compositions can comprise one or more film forming polymers, one or more bioadhesive agents, one or more active agents, one or more polymeric solvents, and an aqueous solvent, with the proviso that the composition does not comprise benzocaine. The active agent(s) preferably are effective for a range of effects. The oral composition can be a solid or semi-solid composition up to a temperature of at least 40° C. Methods of providing such an oral compositions and methods of applying them to an oral or buccal cavity are also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 7189159
Abstract: A diffuser cartridge (10) of restricted height is provided for controlling flow of air in an air conditioning system. The cartridge (10) has two axially aligned temperature sensitive elements (34,68) for respectively sensing room temperature and duct temperature variations. Arms (12) are provided for displacing an air flow baffle (B) and a control structure is provided for displacing the arms (12) in response to sensed room and duct temperatures. The control structure pivots the arms (12) cam-fashion as it is moved vertically by the temperature sensitive elements (34, 68). The control structure has two springs (54,56) that act in series to counter movement of the control structure by the temperature sensitive elements (34,68). The springs (54,56) are nested coaxially within each other, with an intermediate component (48) transferring compressive loads from one spring to the other.

  • Patent number: 4683203
Abstract: Immobilized enzymes covalently bound to an inorganic carrier by an amino group through a bifunctional spacer have improved properties when the carrier is formed of amorphous, approximately spherical silica particles obtained from synthetic calcium silicate. The silica particles have an average particle size of from 15 to 80 .mu.m, an apparent particle volume of from 1.3 to 3 cm.sup.3 /g, and a specific surface area of from 250 to 800 m.sup.2 /g.
