The disclosure also provides for methods of repelling or directing an insect from an organism, article, or structure by utilizing a compound or composition described herein. The disclosure also provides for an article or structure treated with a composition including at least one repellent, controlling, or directing compound described herein.

Abstract: The disclosure provides for methods of repelling, directing, altering the behavior, and controlling an insect by utilizing a compound or composition described herein. The disclosure also provides for methods of promoting the health of an insect by repelling a pest that preys on insect and/or by providing an antibiotic or nutritional supplement composition to an insect. The disclosure also provides for a composition including at least one repelling, controlling, or directing compound or composition described herein together with an insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, or miticide. Compounds, compositions, seeds, and plants useful in these methods are also described.

Abstract: As set forth herein, methods and systems facilitate the fusing of unassociated images into an original document image. An unassociated image is received into a set of unassociated images in computer memory by an associated scanning device, and the size for each unassociated image is determined. The size of each unassociated image is then compared to at least one other known image size, and a matching related unassociated image is retrieved from the set of unassociated images corresponding to each unassociated image based at least in part on an output of the comparison. The matches of related images are then aligned and fused to form an original document image.

Abstract: A dispenser having a storage compartment may hold a blister package or other object. The blister package may be slid in and out of the dispenser through an opening. Corner latches pivotally attached to the dispenser on either side of the opening move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, a portion of the corner latches extend into the opening thereby preventing the object from being removed from the dispenser. The corner latches are moved to the second position such that the corner latches no longer block the opening to the dispenser so that the blister package may be removed.

Abstract: A method for dispersing feed that includes the steps of providing a feed apparatus configured to contain feed, the feed apparatus having a hopper body with a base, a feed sheet mounted below the base, a powered fan blade coupled with the hopper body, and at least one window disposed between an outer edge of the hopper body and an outer edge of the feed sheet. The feed sheet is mounted below the base in order to provide distribution of feed to a predetermined wildlife, such that the at least one window, the base, and the feed sheet are configured to provide a feed stream in all radial directions as the powered fan blade rotates.

Abstract: A feed dispensing apparatus comprising a hopper to contain feed and a large sheet of metal adjustably attached below the base of the hopper. The base of the hopper has small openings to allow for feed to fall from the hopper to the sheet of metal below the hopper. The feed dispensing apparatus also comprises a motor and a fan blade which operate to disperse feed through the gap between the base of the hopper and the sheet of metal. The gap between the base of the hopper and the sheet of metal is adjustable in order to ensure that a specific type of varmint cannot gain access to the feed in the hopper.

Abstract: A directional control unit having a fan blade and a counter-weighted door. The fan blade is powered by a motor that spins the fan blade which disperses feed within the directional control unit and causes the counter-weighted door to open. The feed is then distributed solely through the counter-weighted door for distribution in preferably a single, predetermined direction and, at the same time, keeping varmints from getting into the control unit and stealing the feed.

Abstract: A heating attachment for improving uniformity of microwave heating of a food product in a food container. The heating attachment has a microwave shield of microwave-reflective material. An attachment member is configured for attaching the shield to a food container in an operative association in which the container is disposed in a heating space by the shield. In this association, the shield improves the uniformity of microwave heating of a food product within the container. The heating attachment sufficiently surrounds the container in the operative association to capture the container for promoting breakage of the heating attachment when the container is removed therefrom to inhibit or prevent reuse of the heating attachment.

Abstract: A dispenser with a spout holds a plurality of objects, such as pharmaceutical dosage forms. The dispenser has a housing defining an interior space that holds the pharmaceutical products and an opening leading to the interior space. A movable spout is disposed in the opening and is able to pivot between a closed position wherein the opening is occluded, or sufficiently occluded, by the spout thereby preventing objects disposed within the interior space from exiting the housing through the opening and an open position wherein the opening is not occluded, or sufficiently unoccluded, by the spout thereby permitting objects disposed within the interior space to exit the housing through the opening. The dispenser also has an opener with a push button for moving the spout from the closed position to the open position about the pivot axis when pressure is applied to the opener wherein the opener engages one end of the spout below the pivot axis to push another end of the spout outward from the housing.
