  • Publication number: 20250214613
Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for operating an autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle may access sensor data captured by at least one sensor corresponding to the autonomous vehicle associated with operation of the autonomous vehicle in an environment. The autonomous vehicle generates an output based on the sensor data and with a machine-learned model. The output may characterize the sensor data to indicate a sensor support level in the environment. The machine-learned model may be trained using training data comprising a plurality of instances of logged sensor data depicting examples of a reference object, each instance of the plurality of instances of logged sensor data being associated with a label indicating a range at which the reference object was detected in the instances of logged sensor data. The autonomous vehicle may be controlled based at least in part on the distance or a visibility classification derived from the distance.

  • Publication number: 20240351610
Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for directing a field-of-view of a first sensor positioned on an autonomous vehicle. In one example, at least one processor selects a goal location on at least one travel way in an environment of the autonomous vehicle. The selecting of the goal location is based at least in part on map data describing at least one travel way in an environment of the autonomous vehicle and pose data describing a position of the autonomous vehicle in the environment. The at least one processor determines a field-of-view position to direct the first sensor towards the goal location based at least in part on the sensor position data. The at least one processor sends a field-of-view command to the first sensor. The field-of-view command modifies the field-of-view of the first sensor based on the field-of-view position.

  • Patent number: 10387392
Abstract: An industrial control program development system allows a user to set metadata attributes for respective data items in the controller that indicate which of the data tags are to be monitored and collected by a separate industrial data historian system. When the industrial controller is deployed on a plant network, the data historian system reads the metadata attributes for the respective data items (e.g., data tags or data logs) defined in the controller and configures itself to collect and store data associated with the subset of data items that have been flagged for data collection. This system mitigates the need to manually configure the data historian with the identities of the data items that are to be monitored and collected for historical or reporting purposes.

  • Patent number: 8660794
Abstract: A system and method splices into, or replaces routes identified based on road geometry with routes taken by the same user or other users to create alternate routes that may be selected by a user to display, for example, on a map or for which driving directions can be displayed. Communication of routes traveled by different devices may be received from a server or from another device. A naming convention for road segments and ordered paths of road segments is described.
