  • Patent number: 4122057
Abstract: Polyester plasticizers having improved low temperature properties are obtained by terminating the polyester with mixed chain-terminating agents. Mixtures of monobasic acids and monofunctional alcohols are employed for this purpose. The polyesters of this invention find particular utility as plasticizers for PVC homopolymers and copolymers.

  • Patent number: 3972962
Abstract: Improved chain-stopped polyester plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride homopolymers and copolymers are provided. The plasticizers show little or no tendency to migrate from PVC, yet they are readily processable with the PVC. While being extremely compatible with PVC the present plasticizers have very low affinity for ABS and polystyrene resins and therefore can be used in applications where plasticized PVC comes in contact with these other resins.
