Patent number: 5073995Abstract: A water saving device for a flush tank includes a floating body, a guide track on which the floating body is slidably mounted by a bracket, and a clip mounted to the guide track for snap fitting around a standpipe of the tank. The guide track is positioned so that the body is substantially directly above a flush valve of the tank, so that upon flushing the body will contact and forcibly close the flush valve to save water. The weight of the body is adjustable, as the body has an inner chamber for holding ballast and an inlet sealed by a removable plug. The guide track has breakoff segments at its bottom portion so that the track can be adapted to virtually any size tank. In another embodiment of the water saving device, the guide track is replaced by a small diameter tube through which the chain linking the flush valve and the flush lever attached to a flush handle is threaded. The body has a large tube attached to it which slidably fits over the standpipe.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1990Date of Patent: December 24, 1991Assignee: Neubauer-Jennison ConstructionInventors: Gregory F. Patent number: 4964062Abstract: A multisection flexible multidigit arm contains hands at each end, each of which hands contains a set of fingers, suitably three, which are similarly formed flexible multidigit arms constructed to a smaller scale. Each hand contains connectors for coupling the hand to a mating connector mounted on an associated structure to provide appropriate power and control signals to the arm. One hand may grip the connector and the other hand is free to move to various positions and perform various tasks. In an additional aspect the arm may move to different locations by somersaulting between spaced connectors in the system. In an assembly system the robotic arms are used to construct frames or other assemblies.A completely self contained arm includes a self contained source of power. Radio communication means are provided to allow electronic interaction with the arm from a remote location.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1988Date of Patent: October 16, 1990Inventors: Shivadev K. Ubhayakar, Robert D. Baker

Patent number: 4580787Abstract: A modified chess game and game board having a hexagonal shape and 217 hexagonal spaces which can be played by two or three players simultaneously. The hexagonal spaces which make up the game board are alternately colored so that no two adjacent spaces are of the same color. Connecting spaces are located between each of the adjacent hexagonal spaces and these connecting spaces are of a color that is different from the color of the two adjacent spaces which they connect. The game also includes 19 playing pieces for each player. The game board can also be used to play a game of checkers.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1980Date of Patent: April 8, 1986Inventor: Robert D. Patent number: 4521229Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator (10) having a casing (12) defining a precipitation chamber (6) wherein a plurality of discharge electrode subassemblies (32) are disposed alternately between a plurality of collecting electrode plates (20). Each discharge electrode subassembly (32) is comprised of a plurality of individual tubular discharge electrodes (50) extending vertically between support frame members. Each tubular discharge electrode (50) is comprised of a vertically elongated tubular member (54) having an elliptical cross-section disposed with the longer axis of the ellipse perpendicular to the collecting electrode plates and the shorter axis of the ellipse parallel to the collecting electrode plates. A plurality of corona discharge pins (52) are disposed along the length of the discharge electrodes at spaced intervals and extend outwardly from the longitudinal axis of the tubular member (54) at an acute angle preferably in the range of at least 45 degrees to not more than 60 degrees.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1983Date of Patent: June 4, 1985Assignee: Combustion Engineering, Inc.Inventors: Robert D.
