Abstract: This invention is a tool that is primarily used to remove or extract foreign debris from a seal and its contact surface. This tool is thin and flexible and is made up of various types of materials. This tool has a special shape and texture to help assist in the removal the said debris. This is a completely new idea and no other prior art exists.

Abstract: A hydraulic system (40) for an excavator (10) which utilizes regeneration, minimizes cavitation, and provides hose break protection is disclosed. A valve assembly (50) is permanently connected to a hydraulic actuator (30) which is to be controlled. A hydraulic power supply (42) remote from the hydraulic actuator is connected to the valve assembly (50) through a pair of flexible hoses (56, 58). Pressurized hydraulic fluid can flow to the valve assembly through either of the flexible hydraulic hoses, but the valve assembly (50) includes a check valve (60) so hydraulic fluid return is only possible through one hose (56). A two position valve (62) is provided in the valve assembly (50) between a pair of operating ports (36, 38) on the hydraulic actuator (30). The two position valve (62) can be opened in response to a signal from the operator, connecting the two ports (36, 38) together to permit regeneration.

Abstract: An improved material handling apparatus includes an adapter assembly which is disposed on the outer end portion of a boom. The adapter assembly is connected with a material handling tool by an improved connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a wedge member having a pair of sloping side surfaces which cooperate with a wedge surface on the material handling tool and a wedge surface on the adapter assembly to interconnect the adapter assembly and the material handling tool. The wedge member cooperates with the wedge surfaces on the material handling tool and the adapter assembly in such a manner as to positively seat a support bar on the material handling tool in a recess on the adapter assembly. In addition, the interaction between the wedge member and the two wedge surfaces is such as to compensate for wear between the wedge member and the wedge surfaces and to compensate for slight misalignments between the adapter assembly and the material handling tool.
