A closure having a closure fastener engages with the container fastener for forming a first seal between the closure and the liquid container. A rod extends from the closure for supporting a liquid applicator. A circumferential projection ends from a rod. A resilient partially conical wiper extends from the container for sealing with the circumferential projection of the rod for forming a second seal between the closure and the liquid container. The resilient partially conical wiper engages the liquid applicator upon removal of the liquid applicator from the container for removing excess liquid from the liquid applicator.

    Abstract: A retractable liquid dispenser device comprising an outer body having a retractable mechanism slidably supporting a liquid dispenser. The liquid dispenser has a supply reservoir and a discharge reservoir with a reservoir valve disposed therebetween. A retractable valve is located in proximity to an open first end of the outer body. A first depression of the retractable actuator opens the retractable valve and moves the liquid dispenser into the extended position for enabling a depression of a distal end of the liquid applicator to open the dispensing valve to permit liquid to flow from the supply reservoir into the dispensing reservoir to dispense the applicator liquid from the distal end of the liquid applicator. A second depression of the retractable actuator moves the liquid dispenser into the retracted position and closes the retractable valve to enclose the distal end of the liquid applicator within the outer body.

The controller is additionally provided with means for generating signals at one or more predetermined positions on the cam by movement of an output member (48) that is in contact with a profiled surface (40, 40') of a body member (38) which in turn is caused to move in response to movement of a cam follower (42) that is in contact relationship with the cam. Means are provided such as threads (51) are provided for adjusting the rotative position of the body member with respect to the position of the cam follower to account for any change in the initial position of the cam member and to enable more than one of the signal generation means to be positioned at different locations about the cam.
