  • Patent number: 8550142
Abstract: A plural panel vertically hung horizontally adjustable light transmitting window shade apparatus for varying the amount of light from zero to maximum that can pass through alternate transparent and opaque portions of the plural panels. The plural panels hang vertically downward from separate mounting elements of a control mechanism. The control mechanism, when actuated, moves either one or two of the plural panels horizontally relative to the other panel, thus changing the position of the transparent portions and opaque portions of each panel. The control mechanism also vertically deploys or retracts the dual panels using the same control mechanism used to move the panels horizontally. A bottom rail maintains the lower ends of the panels in a closely adjacent position, and also allows relative vertical movement of each panel relative to the other when the panels are either deployed or retracted.

  • Publication number: 20120043029
Abstract: A dual panel adjustable light transmission shade apparatus for adjusting the amount of light passing through a window comprises a spool rotatably mounted in a canopy, and an opening in the canopy. A single piece of material forms opposed facing front and rear panels, and a bight is formed at the bottom of the panels. An upper portion of each panel is fastened to the spool at spaced apart locations on the outer surface of the spool. One of the panels moves generally vertically upward and the other panel moves generally vertically downward when the spool is rotated in one direction. A weight bar is lodged in the bight at the bottom of the panels to apply a downward force on the panels, and the weight bar rotates in the bight only when the panels are adjusted relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 6651720
Abstract: A dual panel roller window shade apparatus includes an outer panel, an inner panel, a canopy, and a cord. The panels are radially spaced and rigidly attached to the spool at respective circumferential points. In operation, the spool is selectively operable via the cord such that the panels move generally vertically up and down relative to each other. A plurality of corresponding positive and negative designs may be formed on the panels.

  • Patent number: 5271601
Abstract: A regulator valve having a globe type valve body includes a deformable diaphragm for controlling the fluid flow between the a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The deformation of the diaphragm, which is controlled by a pilot pressure introduced into a control chamber within the valve, causes the diaphragm to selectively covers and uncovers a plurality of apertures in a frustoconical baffle to control the flow through the valve. The valve includes a first diaphragm support provided in the control chamber and a second diaphragm support provided on the opposite side of the diaphragm. The second diaphragm support comprises a plurality of concentric cylinders and cross members which form an upper concave surface to correspond to a convex portion of the diaphragm so that the diaphragm is substantially uniformly supported.
