  • Publication number: 20220212046
Abstract: A fire suppression system includes a temperature sensor, a suppression system activator, and processing circuitry. The temperature sensor monitors a temperature and the suppression system activator can activate the fire suppression system to suppress a fire. The processing circuitry can determine a fire alert in response to the monitored temperature exceeding a temperature threshold value and adjust a polling rate of the temperature sensor in response to the temperature exceeding the temperature threshold value. The processing circuitry can determine a rate of change of the monitored temperature over a time period and activates the fire suppression system in response to the rate of change exceeding the rate of change threshold.

  • Patent number: 7489902
Abstract: A device is provided that is capable of simultaneous communication over multiple wired and wireless networks. The device is capable of processing data received simultaneously over multiple networks by storing the data in data buffers and using a polling routine to retrieve the data from the data buffers. The device is capable of preventing interference when communicating over multiple wireless networks in the same frequency band by monitoring the frequency channel used by one of the wireless networks and controlling the frequency channels used by the other wireless networks.

  • Publication number: 20080129578
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a buoyant remote control unit for swimming pools and spas. The unit includes interconnected front and back shell members having a printed circuit board positioned therebetween with electrical components for remotely controlling a pool or spa accessory. At least one button is overmolded to the front shell member to form a watertight seal between the button and the front shell member, the button operable to remotely control a pool or spa accessory. Top and bottom overmolds are formed on the front and back shell members, respectively, and a center overmold is formed on the front and back shell members. The top, bottom, and center overmolds provide a watertight seal for the remote control unit.
