  • Publication number: 20190316032
Abstract: A dual-function polyacrylamide proppant suspending agent is prepared by blending polyacrylamide in a concentration range of 0.10% to 0.90% active polyacrylamide material in an aqueous solution by weight of the mix fluid. The proppant suspending agent can suspend granular materials commonly used as fracturing proppants. The polyacrylamide active material is used on the surface as proppant suspending agent to suspend proppants at very high proppant concentration levels. The polyacrylamide and proppant are both diluted by a supply of dean proppant free fluid to concentration ranges for proppant and friction reducer (FR) commonly used in Waterfrac treatments with the resulting slurry being injected into the wellbore, through the casing of the well and into the reservoir at high rates with lowered surface treating pressures. The polyacrylamide active material performs two different functions at two different times during the hydraulic fracturing process.

  • Publication number: 20170260972
Abstract: An apparatus and process for capturing mechanical work from the kinetic energy of a downward moving weighted vessel. The apparatus comprises an elevated downward-moving weighted vessel, a point of impact, a force transfer means to harness the impact, and a post-impact diversion means of the weighted vessel for unobstructed continuation of the process. In use, as the point of impact and force transfer means optimally aligns at the top of their upstroke, the sensor-initiated synchronized release and acceleration of the elevated weighted vessel results in downward movement, generating an exponentially multiplied weight force upon impact due to the accelerated kinetic force it acquires while descending. At the impact point, the kinetic energy force is transmitted from the moving vessel to the energy transfer means. The post-impact weighted moving vessel is then diverted out of the impact area to make way for the unobstructed continuation of the energy transfer cycle.

  • Publication number: 20140243608
Abstract: A method of optimizing the effectiveness of a medication for the treatment of a neurobehavioral or psychiatric disorder in a patient is presented. Medication is administered to a patient. Patient information is obtained and stored in a computer database. Real-time current information is received, for example from a mobile computer device, by the patient relating to (i) medication being taken by the patient; (ii) at least one benefit or lack of benefit of the medication to the patient; (iii) characteristics of one or more current tasks being performed by the patient; and (iv) a current condition of the patient. The effectiveness of the medication is evaluated based on stored patient information and received real-time current information. Accordingly, the dosage or frequency of the medication administered to the patient may be modified, eliminated or maintained.

  • Patent number: 5863934
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of treating disorders which have prominent symptoms of behavioral disinhibition (e.g., Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome, Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome, or the disinhibitory symptoms accompanying Post-traumatic Stress Disorder or dementia) in a primate with minimal sedative side effects by administering thereto a therapeutically effective amount of lofexidine.

  • Patent number: 4972801
Abstract: A plurality of reservoir tanks, which receive water from a deep water well, in order to provide a water habitat for the fish contained therein. The water received from the deep water well is injected with pressurized oxygen at a deep sufficient to cause the oxygen to be dissolved in the water, so that when the water is injected into the tank, the water is highly saturated with oxygen, and therefore, provides an oxygen rich environment which enhances the growth of the fish in the tank. The system may be utilized in conjunction with a vaster type of fish pond, wherein a plurality of tanks would provide a quantity of water into the pond, so that in addition to the fish being raised in the tanks, the fish may be raised in the pond adjacent the tanks and therefore achieve the same type of high oxygen rich environment.

  • Patent number: 4638591
Abstract: This fish securing device has a relatively small diameter cylindrical axial assembly to which are hinged a number of fish securing arms. A spring loading mechanism contained within the axial assembly urges the hinged arms towards a closed fish securing position by means of an actuating linkage arm associated with each securing arm. A cocking and trip mechanism is actuatable upon tugging on a fish lure connected to one end of the axial assembly for releasing the securing arms from an open cocked position towards their closed position to secure a fish tugging on the lure. The device features an improved, compact, streamlined configuration whereby the spring loading mechanism is contained within the central tubular assembly and wherein the cocking and trippng mechanism and securing arm actuating linkages are disposed in a relatively protected position between the securing arms and the central axial assembly to minimize the possibility of damage or of entanglement with underwater growth, rocks or debris.
