    Abstract: A method and a mounting plate system for electrical equipment in a switchgear cabinet having spaced apart frame members. The mounting plate system comprises a first mounting plate having a plurality of orifices located proximate an outer edge of the first mounting plate. A second mounting plate having a plurality of orifices located proximate an outer edge of the second mounting plate, wherein the first and second mounting plates are configured to couple to the electrical equipment in the frame members, releaseably secure the electrical equipment to the frame member from the rear of the switchgear cabinet and facilitate removal of the electrical equipment from the front of the switchgear cabinet. Another embodiment, the mounting plate system provides one of the first and second mounting plates defining a through-hole configured to accept the wire.

    Abstract: A system to obtain a high resolution image of a relatively large sample (11) for viewing by a researcher includes a rectangular holder (20) that receives a microscope slide (10) and which includes a glass filter (40) that reduces the amount of illumination of the sample without reducing the Kelvin light temperature, and a scanner (22) that receives the holder (20) and produces electrical signals which are fed to the hard drive of a computer (23) where a high resolution image of the sample is displayed on the monitor (24). One embodiment of the invention (FIGS. 5-8) utilizes a separate high intensity light source (60A) for the scanner (22A) for illuminating opposed surfaces of the slide (10A ), and a fiber optic light pipe (66A) connects the high intensity light source to the holder (20A ) within the scanner (22A ).

    Abstract: A multiple construction equipment attachment comprised of a vehicle mount having an upper end, a lower end, and two side portions. The vehicle mount is securable to a front end of a vehicle. The upper end has a slot formed therethrough. The slot has a release handle extending upwardly therethrough. The two side portions each have a securement bolt extending outwardly thereof downwardly of the upper end. Each securement bolt is pivotally coupled with the release handle. Each securement bolt selectively extends outwardly of the two side portions in relationship with the positioning of the release handle. A hydraulic ram is secured to the lower end of the vehicle mount. The hydraulic ram is controlled from within the vehicle. Two securement bars each have a securement portion extending backwardly therefrom. Each securement portion is removably secured to the securement bolt of the two side portions of the vehicle mount. Each of the securement bars has an elongated recess formed therein.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an improved sampler which can be operated in any orientation. The design features a positive gripping of the operating rod in a manner to reduce point loads so as to reduce any possibility of jamming of the rod on a retraction stroke until such time as it is positively retained in the fully withdrawn position. In the preferred embodiment, a pair of mating cylindrical latch pieces, held together by a circumferential spring, are used for positive actuation. The inner rod has an angular cut-out which provides the base for the latch when aligned with the latch. A release fixture can be used to free the latch from the cone rod after actuation. The latches are formed in such a manner as they may support themselves within the housing of the sampler until they engage the operating rod.

    Abstract: A roof and wall panel tiedown bracket and method of securing roof and wall panels with one surface of the panels positioned against a supporting rafter and wall stud, respectively. The tiedown bracket is preferably made from a single folded sheet metal pattern and includes an elongated main body having first and second flat generally coextensive panels connected edge to edge orthogonally one to another. The first plate is sized in length equal to a width of a rafter or wall stud. One end of the second plate extends beyond that of the first plate a distance equal to a thickness of the roof or wall panels and continues therefrom to define two flat securing plates which extend orthogonally in either direction from the second plate. When the bracket is properly positioned, the securing plates are attached as by nailing against the other surface of the panels and the first plate is connected as by nailing to one side of the rafter or wall stud.
