  • Patent number: 9070309
Abstract: A flag mounting system provides a compact flagpole that may be mounted on a vertical surface or the like. A sliding tubular sleeve on the flagpole supports the flag and in a half-mast position exposes a distal end of the flagpole which is painted black. When the sliding tubular sleeve is extended to a full extension position, this black portion is covered.

  • Patent number: 5679071
Abstract: A plenum for a paint spray booth including at least one improved plenum module having a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls each comprised of a truss adapted to cooperate with a plurality of stilts thereby independently supporting the plenum above the paint application zone of a paint spray booth. The improved plenum module permits the spacing between plenum stilts to be increased to at least sixty feet thereby decreasing construction costs, increasing the uniformity of airflow from the plenum and decreasing the potential for air leaks from and into the plenum. The improved plenum modules are adapted to be coupled in series and in parallel to provide plenum modules of varying lengths and widths.

  • Patent number: 5475958
Abstract: An oven module for use in industrial baking applications is disclosed having apparatus for accommodating the longitudinal thermal expansion in the interior walls of the oven module located intermediate the ends of the module. The oven module is easily assembled into an oven baking line because its ends are fixed and do not vary due to thermal expansion. Therefore, the present oven module alleviates numerous disadvantages in the shipping and assembly of an oven baking line which has been experienced with prior known oven modules. The floor, walls and roof of the oven module have both an interior and an exterior structure so that the interior surfaces of the oven module can be independently and rigidly supported. At opposite ends of the module, the interior and exterior structures for the floor, walls and roof are fixed to a common support member.

  • Patent number: 5280467
Abstract: An optical disk cartridge assembly including an optical disk for storing data in machine readable form; a disk casing for rotatably supporting the optical disk; and a reader door slideably mounted on the casing for selectively covering and uncovering an opening therein; the casing having a surface resistivity of less than 10.sup.6 ohms/sq. Also disclosed is an information storage assembly including such an optical disk cartridge assembly and further including an optical disk drive; a cartridge storage cell and a mechanized cartridge handling assembly for moving the cartridge assembly between the cartridge storage cell and the optical disk drive; each portion of the optical disk drive, cartridge storage cell, and mechanized cartridge handling assembly which comes into contact with the casing having a surface resistivity of less than 10.sup.4 ohms/sq. Methods for producing the optical disk cartridge assembly and information storage assembly are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5276675
Abstract: An optical disk cartridge assembly comprising: an optical disk for storing data thereon in machine readable form; a casing for rotatably supporting the optical disk therewithin and for shielding the optical disk from physical contact with other objects; and a door slideably mounted on the casing for selectively covering and uncovering an opening therein; the casing having a wear factor associated with sliding contact with the door of less than in 100.times.10.sup.-10 in..sup.3 -min./ft.-lb.-hr. and most preferably less than 10.times.10.sup.-10 in..sup.3 -min./ft.-lb.-hr. An information storage system employing a low-wear optical disk cartridge assembly and a method of making a low-wear optical disk cartridge assembly are also disclosed.
