  • Publication number: 20090106239
Abstract: A system and method for reviewing electronic documents. The method may include the step of using a computing device to rate a document's relevancy to a concept. Depending on the document's relevancy rating, the document could be routed to either substantive review personnel or relevancy review personnel. If the relevancy rating indicates that the document is likely relevant to the concept, the document is routed to substantive review personnel for substantive analysis. If the relevancy rating indicates that the document is likely irrelevant to the concept, the document is routed to relevancy review personnel to confirm whether the document is irrelevant to the concept. If the relevancy review personnel determine that the document is likely relevant to the concept, the document is rerouted to the substantive review personnel for substantive analysis.

  • Publication number: 20080135404
Abstract: An amperometric membrane sensor that utilizes redox-carriers to transfer the redox potential of an oxidizing or reducing species to an electrode. The sensor consists of a membrane containing a first redox carrier, and a second redox carrier in the internal electrolyte of a membrane amperometric sensor. One implementation of this sensor utilizes a quinone carrier in a liquid membrane, and a vanadate carrier in the electrolyte to produce a sensor that responds to chlorine and chloroamine containing aqueous solutions. This strategy for the construction of an amperometric sensor allows the detection and quantification of redox-active membrane impermeant species.

  • Patent number: 7187622
Abstract: An exemplary apparatus includes one or more “communicators” that are worn, carried by, or otherwise associated with a person or location in an environment. Each communicator includes a synchronizable clock and a transmitter configured to transmit a message including a respective time stamp that is based on a time determined by the synchronizable clock. The message can be transmitted acoustically or in another manner such as by RF signal, optical signal, etc. The clock can be synchronized based on, e.g., a standard clock, another synchronizable clock associated with one or more transceivers, or a selected transceiver. The time stamp can be digital or analog, and can be configured to permit estimation of distance and bearing between synchronized communicators.

  • Patent number: 6391174
Abstract: An ion exchange membrane for use in sensors which measure dissolved gases. Disclosed is a method for using ion exchangers in gas permeable membranes to maintain optimal conditions in the electrolyte contained within the sensor. This can greatly extend the lifetime and improve the stability relative to sensors of similar size and electrolyte volume that have been constructed using prior art.
