  • Patent number: 11980767
Abstract: A medical device management system comprising a defibrillating apparatus, which comprises a plurality of electrodes configured to monitor ECG signals and deliver a defibrillation shock. The system including a communication unit configured to establish a secured wireless network, automatically generate a first text message upon receipt of a signal indicative of deployment of the defibrillating apparatus, associate the first text message with a unit identifier, automatically send the first text message, automatically generate a second text message comprising defibrillation shock status upon delivery of the defibrillation shock, associate the second text message with the unit identifier, automatically send the second text message; and a handheld device associated with a caregiver and configured to receive the first and second text messages and associate the first and second text messages with the specific defibrillating apparatus based on the unit identifier specific to the defibrillating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6279275
Abstract: A water impervious panel assembly for a foundation wall. A series of rigid, extruded thermoplastic panels are mounted in side-by-side relation to the outer surface of the foundation wall. Each panel has inner and outer faces connected together by a series of parallel spaced ribs which define vertical flow channels that extend the height of the panel. A plurality of holes are formed in the outer face of each panel and communicate with the channels. The holes and channels facilitate movement of water to the drain tile at the footing of the wall and relieve hydrostatic pressure on the wall. To provide a watertight vertical joint between adjacent panels, the inner face of each panel adjacent one vertical side edge is provided with a first vertical slot that communicates with the flow channel located adjacent that side edge and the outer face of each panel adjacent the opposite side edge is provided with a second vertical slot that communicates with a flow channel adjacent that side edge.

  • Patent number: 5857297
Abstract: A water impervious, elastomeric coating is applied to the outer surface of a foundation wall and across the joint between the lower end of the wall and the footing. Protection board is bonded to the elastomeric coating and serves to prevent damage to the coating during backfilling of the foundation wall. The protection board is composed of an impact resistant, extruded, thermoplastic material and has inner and outer faces connected together by a series of parallel spaced ribs which define vertical channels that extend the height of the board. A plurality of spaced isolated holes are formed in the outer face of the board and communicate with the channels. The board not only protects the elastomeric coating from damage, but the inner face provides an additional waterproofing membrane, and the holes and channels facilitate movement of water to the drain tile and relieve hydrostatic pressure on the wall.

  • Patent number: 5098059
Abstract: An assembly comprising a foam piece adapted for use in concrete casting, the foam piece having a front surface, a back surface, and edges, the assembly further comprising a flexible, non-permeable plastic film surrounding the foam piece. In one aspect of the invention, the plastic film surrounding the foam piece is heat shrunk. In another aspect of the invention, the foam piece defines a block out for use in concrete casting. The assembly may include a wood beam in a groove in the foam piece, which beam can receive nails so that the assembly can be secured to a concrete casting form. The plastic film allows the foam piece to be easily removed from hardened concrete and reused.

  • Patent number: 5083740
Abstract: An attached locking pin for releasably securing adjacent concrete forms used in the formation of poured concrete. Such concrete forms are characterized by having a peripheral rail with apertures therethrough adapted to abut the rail and align the apertures of an adjacent form to hold the cement in its desired shape until the concrete has set. The attached locking pin includes a sleeve with an opening therethrough adapted to interlock within one of the aligned apertures of abutting rails. A pin is provided having a head and an end with an intermediate portion having a slot passing therethrough typically for receiving a locking wedge. The pin is adapted to pass the end and slotted intermediate portion through the sleeve and the adjacent aligned aperture to releasably hold the abutting rails securely together after the wedge is driven into the slot.

  • Patent number: 4536145
Abstract: An apparatus for use in cutting a contoured surface in the face of a polystyrene foam block for use in casting concrete, wherein the contoured surface will form the mold surface. The apparatus comprises means for supporting a block of polystyrene foam material, a generally rigid wire having opposite ends, and means for heating the helical wire such that the wire can cut through the polystyrene foam block. The apparatus also comprises means for supporting the heated wire for controlled vertical and horizontal movement with respect to the polystyrene foam block, and with respect to a reference position.

  • Patent number: 4239173
Abstract: An improved concrete form and tie rod, the concrete form and tie rod being constructed to facilitate disassembly of concrete form assemblies. The tie rods and concrete forms and structured to permit the ends of the tie rods to be broken off following completion of the concrete casting process to thereby facilitate removal of the aligning pins which hold the concrete forms of a form assembly together.

  • Patent number: 4150808
Abstract: Removable form for use in pouring concrete walls, the form being comprised of a high strength, impact resistant, light weight material and being constructed to provide thermal insulation of concrete poured between two of the forms. The forms are each comprised of a face plate backed by an insulative support structure. The insulative support structure has a honeycomb construction filled with an insulative material, the honeycomb construction providing strength to the insulative support structure to prevent bending or distortion. A supporting frame is further provided as a structural supporting backing for the insulative support section to increase its resistance to bending.
