  • Patent number: 5335967
Abstract: The collapsible sand chair is constructed with a front leg support frame, a back leg support frame, a back rest and a pair of arms. The back leg support frame includes a pair of extendable legs which are articulated via U-shaped brackets to the legs of the front leg support frame. Each extendable leg includes a hollow tube and a plastic slider which is able to be pulled out of the hollow tube when the chair is collapsed into a folded position. The back rest can be unfolded into an upright position, a fully reclined position and intermediate positions therebetween by moving the arms relative to the U-shaped brackets articulating the leg support frames together.
