  • Publication number: 20240096291
Abstract: Systems and methods for electronic displays to use reference voltages to control driving current of illuminators are provided. The reference voltages are used to reduce or eliminate cross talk in driving voltages among different illuminators and driving voltage variations from frame to frame. The transient performance of the driving current of the illuminator (e.g., the current rise/decline time, current overshoot issue, current settling time) may be improved by implementing the reference voltages.

  • Publication number: 20240096263
Abstract: A device may include image processing circuitry that generates image data corresponding to an image to be displayed during a first image frame and a second image frame. However, the image data is not regenerated for the second image frame. The device may also include an electronic display having a frame buffer that receives and stores the image data from the image processing circuitry. The electronic display may also include a display panel that displays the image during the first image frame based on a first read of the image data from the frame buffer in response to a first emission sync signal and displays the image during the second image frame based on a second read of the image data from the frame buffer in response to a second emission sync signal.

  • Publication number: 20200150195
Abstract: An apparatus includes a magnetic bridge sensor generating an output in response to a sensed magnetic field. An amplification stage processes the output to produce an amplified output signal. A field-effect transistor with a gate receives the amplified output signal, a source node receives a current source and a drain node is connected to the magnetic sensor. A regulator is connected to the magnetic bridge sensor. A first contact is connected to the source node to produce a voltage signal characterizing the sensed magnetic field. A second contact is connected to the magnetic bridge sensor and the regulator.

  • Patent number: 8390740
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and systems that provide automatic compensation for frequency attenuation of a video signal transmitted over a cable. In accordance with an embodiment, a system includes an equalizer and a compensation controller. The equalizer receives a video signal that was transmitted over a cable, provides compensation for frequency attenuation that occurred during the transmission over the cable, and outputs a compensated video signal. The compensation controller automatically adjusts the compensation provided by the equalizer based on comparisons of one or more portions of the compensated video signal to one or more reference voltage levels.

  • Patent number: 7116795
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention provides a portable speaker including a speaker driver, a first cylindrical ring coupled to the speaker driver, a base plate configured in parallel with the speaker driver, a second cylindrical ring affixed to the base plate, and one or more interposed unaffixed cylindrical rings, wherein in a first expanded state the sidewalls of adjacent rings form frictional seals and a substantially airtight rigid chamber having a height substantially equal to the sum of the sidewall heights of the cylindrical rings, and in an unexpanded state the sidewalls of the cylindrical rings are substantially parallel to one another. Embodiments of the present invention may be used in an audio system including a class-D amplifier.
