  • Patent number: 8303603
Abstract: A clamping device for a motor-driven epilation apparatus. The clamping device has a first clamping element with a first contact surface, in the region of which a three-dimensional clamping structure is provided. The clamping device has a second clamping element with a second contact surface. The contact surfaces of the clamping elements are intermittently brought in mutual clamping contact during the operation of the epilation apparatus. The hardness of the second clamping element in the region of the second contact surface is lower than that of the first clamping element in the region of the first contact surface.

  • Publication number: 20110005079
Abstract: A washable device for personal use, in particular a hair removal device, such as an epilator and a shaver, a portion of which is coated with paraffin. The device, the paraffin, or both may include an antibacterial agent. A method of manufacturing components of a device for personal use can include dipping the components into a paraffin bath, spraying molten paraffin on the components, spraying a paraffin solution onto the components, applying solid paraffin by tumbling, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20080269780
Abstract: A motor-driven epilation head, and epilation apparatus for use therewith, The epilation head has a rotatable cylinder operable to turn about an axis of rotation. The rotatable cylinder includes clamping devices operable to take hold of and pluck the hairs and actuating elements operable for actuating the clamping devices. The rotatable cylinder has at least one pressure element with a control surface that is at least intermittently contacted by the actuating elements in a sliding fashion. The actuating elements as well as the pressure element are made of a plastic material.
