  • Patent number: 6406579
Abstract: Process for manufacturing anti-theft and/or traceability devices associated with stoppering and covering means The invention relates to the high-rate industrial manufacture of remote-detectable devices used in particular as anti-theft devices but also to carry information, associated with means for stoppering and covering containers. To this end, a material in web form is unwound and caused to travel along, and at least one detectable means such as a filament or an oriented-particles film or an electronic tag is deposited in continuous or discontinuous form on this material, this or these detectable means running or following on from one another in the direction of travel of the web-form material. This material is cut according to the singular or plural detectable means deposited on it, so as to separate individual elements each equipped with a detectable means such as a filament, and themselves constituting stoppering or covering means, or parts of such means, for example gaskets for caps.

  • Patent number: 5048706
Abstract: A cap is composed of a cylindrical skirt provided with a central opening, and ensures the locking of a plug in the opening of a neck of a container. A tear-off lid is sealed onto this cap and, by means of a projecting part on a gripping ring of the cap, is connected by a strip to a portion of the upper end of the skirt delimited circumferentially by tear-off lines parallel to the generatrices of the skirt, extending over the entire height of the latter and associated with partial cuts. The skirt tears off when the lid is torn off by means of the ring. The cap is particularly useful for sealing of containers for sterile non-injectable pharmaceutical products.

  • Patent number: 4895195
Abstract: An apparatus for dosing a fragile bulk material has a supply bin having an inclined wall formed with a throughgoing aperture and a filler for maintaining the supply bin filled with the bulk material up to a level below and not above the aperture. Thus the wall aperture is always above the level of the material. A slider formed with a throughgoing aperture like the wall aperture is slidable along the wall between a lower position with the slider aperture wholly below the material level and out of alignment with the wall aperture and an upper position with the slider aperture above the level and aligned with the wall aperture. An actuator reciprocates the slider between its positions and thereby fills its aperture with a dose of the material in the lower position, moves the dose up above the level while shedding material atop the slider on movement into the upper position, and drops the dose through the wall aperture when in the upper position.

  • Patent number: 4750312
Abstract: An apparatus for fitting heat-sealed containers comprises a conveyor for displacing a succession of the containers in a normal direction of travel through a station and for arresting each of the containers momentarily in the station, a supply at the station holding a stack of caps, a grab for taking a cap off the stack and positioning it atop the container arrested in the station and a welding tool for tack welding the cap to the container in the station as the cap is being positioned on the container and while it is still held by the grab, and a device downstream of the station for heat shrinking the caps on the bottles. The welding tool and grab are practically the same device and work very closely together. Thus there is no time during which the cap is not being positively held. Before the grab releases it, it is tack-welded to the bottle.
