  • Publication number: 20130060233
Abstract: An insertion mechanism for a drug pump includes an insertion mechanism housing; a manifold guide; an insertion biasing members initially held in an energized state; a retraction biasing member and a hub connected to a proximal end of a needle, wherein the retraction biasing member is held initially in an energized state between the hub and the manifold guide; and a manifold having a septum and a cannula, wherein the annular space between the septum and the cannula defines a manifold header. The needle and cannula are inserted into the body of a user by the insertion biasing member(s), after which only the needle is retracted. Retraction of the needle may open a fluid pathway from the manifold header to the body through the cannula. A drug delivery pump includes an activation mechanism, a drive mechanism, a fluid pathway connection, and the insertion mechanism. Assembly and operation methods are provided.

  • Publication number: 20130035662
Abstract: A cannula for administration of a medicine to a target location includes a tube with at least one nodule disposed along the circumferential surface and spaced at a defined distance from the distal end of the tube. An arrangement for delivery of a medicine to a target location includes the cannula and a pump fluidly coupled to the cannula. The distal end of the cannula may be inserted into a target location until the nodule reaches a surface that limits a depth of penetration before delivery of the medication.

  • Publication number: 20070019499
Abstract: A concrete mixer truck includes a truck chassis having a cab mounted at the front of the chassis. A mixing drum adapted to receive, mix and dispense concrete is mounted at a rear end of the chassis. The drum has a discharge end which faces the cab. A collector is located above the cab roof and is spaced apart from the mixing drum. A conveyor device mounted on a support frame is located generally between the cab and the drum and is utilized to transport concrete from the discharge end of said mixing drum up an inclined slope to the collector. A placement chute system directs a gravity flow of concrete from said collector to a desired location. The mixer truck utilizes the chassis, drum and other components of a standard rear discharge mixer truck to create a new type of front discharge mixer which has many of the advantages of existing front discharge mixer trucks at a reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 6408720
Abstract: A runner apparatus is disclosed herein that is used alone or in combination with or incorporated into an existing torque wrench. The runner apparatus has a motor positioned offset from end operatively engaging a threaded member so that the runner apparatus or runner apparatus-torque wrench combination has a profile height that allows it to be positioned in confined spaces that are relatively small.
