  • Publication number: 20040154603
Abstract: A quick start barbecue comprises a kettle, column and base. A moveable charcoal grate, when lowered into the column, folds into a basket shape thereby holding the charcoal in a compact configuration ideal for starting. Once the charcoal has ignited the grate is lifted into the kettle and in the process unfolds into a flat shape with the charcoal evenly distributed in a configuration ideal for cooking. The charcoal may be started using crumpled newspaper placed below the charcoal grate in its lower “basket” position or by use of a self igniting propane torch removably affixed to the column. A long chimney may be placed in the kettle to aid starting and stored around the column. A removable ash drawer in the base makes cleanup easy. Removal of the ash drawer causes a gate to close so that excess ash is confined to the column while the drawer is out.

  • Publication number: 20040112364
Abstract: The present invention provides a barbecue grill assembly with a grill body having a firebox and a cover and a burner element. The firebox is supported on a frame structure having a first frame member assembly and a second frame member assembly. The frame assemblies are secured together by combination of at least one cross member secured to the upper portion and being secured to the firebox at a lower region, without the need for additional cross members at the lower region. The invention further provides a frame with pivoting shelves secured to the frame, adapted to move from a use position to a storage position withing the grill cooking chamber. The present invention further provides a frame assembly having a lateral slot for receiving and supporting a heat shield positioned below the firebox.

  • Publication number: 20030116224
Abstract: A machine that makes bubbles that are dispensed vertically. A membrane-forming system forms a bubble solution membrane over a bubble ring. Air is passed through the bubble ring by a blowing fan, which is intermittently operated to allow contact between a membrane-forming ring and the bubble ring. Bubble solution is continuously supplied to the bubble rings from a central reservoir. Safety switches prevent operation of the bubble-making machine unless there is bubble solution in the reservoir, the main housing is properly connected to the fan, and the bubble machine is in an upright position (and not tipped over). The present invention provides continuous operation for the duration of the bubble solution supply, and is easily washed, used, maintained, and manufactured.

  • Publication number: 20030111070
Abstract: A barbecue is illuminated by a light integrated into a shelf. The shelf may be hinged so that it folds into the barbecue for storage. A barbecue as is known in the art has an enclosing lid or cover. The shelves provide flat surfaces upon which food, plates, or other items may be supported. This provides additional work space to the chef. The shelves may be stationary or may fold into the barbecue. One of the shelves may have a lamp that articulates upwardly to illuminate the grill in times of insufficient light. The lamp also conforms to an exterior-interior circumference or perimeter of one of the shelves in order to provide convenient and unobtrusive means by which illumination can be provided when needed.

  • Patent number: 6325246
Abstract: A hand operated water gun which utilizes a base section which can be mounted on the upper arm of the user or carried by the user. The base section may include an elastic bladder and a pumping apparatus. The elastic bladder connects with a reservoir. The pumping apparatus is manually operated by a movable section which can comprise a handle. The movable section is pivotally mounted to the base section. Movement of the movable section causes water to flow from the reservoir into the elastic bladder causing the elastic bladder to expand. A discharge nozzle is connected to the elastic bladder with the discharge nozzle being normally closed preventing flow of water therethrough by a discharge valve. The discharge valve is to be manually openable to cause the dispensing of the water in the form of a stream. The water is to be supplied into the elastic bladder until it expands to a certain degree prior to opening of the discharge nozzle.
