  • Publication number: 20250373011
Abstract: An electrical power supply assembly is disclosed, comprising first and second DC/DC converters, each equipped with a current sensor to determine respective currents. The assembly includes an electrical charge storage device with a boost/buck DC/DC converter and a charge storage medium. It features voltage sensors to determine input, output, and charge storage medium voltages. An electronic controller, in communication with the converters and sensors, includes a computer-readable medium storing instructions that enable the controller to adjust the output power of the first and second DC/DC converters based on their respective currents and the input and output voltages when the output voltage is outside a predetermined range. Additionally, the controller adjusts the output power of the boost/buck DC/DC converter based on the output and charge storage medium voltages under similar conditions, ensuring efficient power management and stability of the electrical power supply assembly.

  • Publication number: 20250141255
Abstract: This disclosure presents an electrical power supply system designed to power an electrical power supply bus efficiently. The system comprises an electronic controller in communication with a bidirectional boost/buck DC/DC converter connected to a charge storage medium, a first voltage sensor monitoring the power supply bus voltage, a second voltage sensor monitoring the charge storage medium voltage, and a current sensor measuring the charge storage medium current. The electronic controller is programmed to regulate the power supply bus voltage to a set target voltage using input from the first voltage sensor, monitor the charge storage medium voltage and current, estimate the power supply bus current based on the charge storage medium data, and adjust the power supply bus voltage to a lower target voltage if the estimated current exceeds a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240171076
Abstract: An ultracapacitor module may include an ultracapacitor cell stack, a boost/buck DC/DC converter, a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature T, a voltage sensor configured to determine an operating voltage Vo of the voltage supply bus; and an electronic controller connected with the DC/DC converter, the temperature sensor, and the voltage sensor. The ultracapacitor cell stack and the DC/DC converter are connected with the voltage supply bus, The electronic controller is configured to determine an initial voltage value Vi corresponding to the measured temperature T, determine an adjustment voltage value Va when the rate of change dV/dt of the operating voltage Vo is less than a predetermined threshold, calculate a target bus voltage value Vt using a first formula Vt=Vi+Va, and control the DC/DC converter to be in a boost mode or a buck mode to maintain the voltage Vo near the voltage value Vt.

  • Publication number: 20210382385
Abstract: An inflatable display system with a projection screen on two opposing sides is provided that allows a single inflatable display support to allow viewers to watch the screens on both sides, thereby doubling the number of viewers per inflatable display support without increasing the size of the display support. An opaque material may be placed between the projection screens or integrated into the back of the screens to avoid interference from light from images projected from the opposite side. In this way, a screen operator or user can accommodate viewers on both sides of the display system, essentially doubling viewer capacity without having to set up two inflatable supports or increase the size of the screen/support system.
