  • Patent number: 11975484
Abstract: Freeform, additive manufacturing equipment, processes and products, including residential, commercial and other buildings. A movable extruder places extrudate that solidifies in open space to create “scaffolding” or “skeletons” of buildings and other products. Elongated extrudate elements are fused to each other or connected by other means to form a cellular structure. Filler material such as polymeric insulating foam may simultaneously or thereafter be placed within the cellular structure to contribute desired strength, rigidity, insulative, barrier or other properties. Finish materials may also be applied.

  • Patent number: 7645354
Abstract: A musical instrument having strings, a wooden body and a granite veneer bonded to the wooden body. The granite has a density of at least 1.7 thousand kilograms per cubic meter and optionally can have a thickness in the range from about 7/64th of an inch to 44/64th of an inch. The musical instrument can be a having a granite sound board that is solid granite or a laminate of granite and wood. Additionally, the musical instrument can be a stringed instrument such as a guitar, bass, violin, viola, dulcimer or cello.

  • Patent number: 7482518
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for producing vibratical unification of components of a musical instrument comprised of a soundboard, a plurality of strings, a bridge system, a neck, and a body. The system acoustically interconnects the major sound components of the musical instrument in a time-correct sound transfer loop. An acoustically high sound conductivity material selected from the group comprising minerals, ceramics, metals, and combinations thereof, is employed as an interconnect member to produce a balanced, compressed, and naturally equalized sound, with extreme clarity and sustain, and with minimal distortion. The low end sound that is produced by the unified components are coherent, tight, and well defined. The acoustically high sound conductivity material has a specific gravity on the order of at least 2, and preferably at least the specific gravity on the order of the specific gravity of granite. Advantageously, the specific gravity is at least four, and can be six or higher.
