  • Publication number: 20230255550
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems, devices, and methods for determining stability of a joint of a living subject. In one aspect, a force-measuring device for determining stability of a joint of a living subject is provided. In some examples, the force-measuring device includes a mitt frame configured to receive a hand of a user therein, one or more first force sensors, and one or more second force sensors. The mitt frame may include a palm portion configured to receive a palm of the user therein, and a finger portion configured to receive fingers of the user therein. The one or more first force sensors may be coupled to the palm portion and disposed on an exterior surface of the palm portion. The one or more second force sensors may be coupled to the finger portion and disposed on an exterior surface of the finger portion.

  • Publication number: 20080006593
Abstract: A transportable modular rack system is disclosed. The transportable modular rack system comprises a modular cage and a moveable insert rack that is at least partially positionable within the interior of the modular cage. Articles and/or article housings can be positioned on shelves positioned within the interior of the moveable insert rack. The transportable modular rack is suitable for use in aircraft, watercraft and/or land vehicles. A pallet-mounted transportable modular rack system comprising modular rack components and moveable insert rack components is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070256995
Abstract: An expandable rack for supporting and/or storing articles and/or article housing structured and arranged to transition from a collapsed position to an extended position is disclosed. The rack is suitable for use in a confined space such as the interior of a vehicle. The rack comprises a plurality of substantially vertical support posts and a plurality of foldable substantially horizontal frame members that are pivotally connected between adjacent substantially vertical support posts. The horizontal frame members are moveable from a collapsed folded position, that is adjacent to and substantially vertical along a vertical support post, to an extended unfolded position, that is substantially perpendicular to the support post. The expandable rack can comprise integral fasteners. A pallet mounted expandable rack system and a method for deploying an expandable rack within a vehicle are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5042745
Abstract: A tilt ramp swept edge nozzle for vectoring exhaust gases from an engine mounted in an aircraft has a pair of flaps pivotally affixed to the aircraft in the area of the output end of the engine tailpipe. The flaps are in spaced relation to each other, aligned with the trailing edge of the airfoil of the aircraft and are movable to positions substantially parallel to each other and to positions substantially non-parallel to each other. An actuating system coupled to the flaps moves same relative to each other thereby to maintain a substantially constant effective throat area in the nozzle and providing an increasing nozzle aspect ratio and variable thrust direction during transition from forward to aft throat position of the nozzle.
