  • Publication number: 20230105846
Abstract: This document describes, among other things, systems, methods, devices, and other techniques for using information about how long various videos were presented at client devices to determine subsequent video recommendations and search results. In some implementations, a computing can include a modeling apparatus, a front-end server, a request manager, one or more video file storage devices, a video selector, or a combination of some or all of these. The video selector can select video content for a particular digitized video among a plurality of digitized videos to serve to a computing device responsive to a request. The selection can be based at least in part on how long the particular digitized video has been presented at client devices associated with users having characteristics that match one or more characteristics of the user that submitted the request for video content, as indicated by the modeling apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10064025
Abstract: In general, this disclosure is directed to techniques for sending notification data to computing devices that are unable to receive the notification data from a central server. A server device may receive notification data for a notification account that is associated with a computing device and determine that the computing device is currently offline. The server device may then identify a group of one or more sharing devices and send a notification package to a sharing device of the group, wherein the notification package includes the notification data, an account identifier associated with the notification account, and a device identifier associated with the computing device. The sharing device may receive the notification package and, responsive to determining that a device identifier for the computing device matches the device identifier in the notification package, forward the notification data to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10042829
Abstract: Systems and methods of measuring the visibility of overlay content in a display of a computing device are provided. A page renderer can identify a position of a video block with respect to a web page rendered on the client device, identify a portion of the web page visible in a viewport of the client device, identify a portion of the video block visible in the viewport, and pass data identifying the portion of the video block visible in the viewport to an element renderer. The element renderer can receive the data, identify a position of overlay content with respect to the video block, compare the position of the overlay content to the portion of the video block visible in the viewport to determine visibility of the overlay content in the viewport, determine whether the visibility meets a visibility threshold, and provide visibility data to a records server.

  • Publication number: 20120135382
Abstract: Driver training methods, systems, and computer readable media are disclosed. A training method receives sensor information from a vehicle driven along a driving route by an individual, assesses performance of the individual based on the sensor information and an individual mastery level, and adjusts the individual mastery level based on the assessed performance of the individual. The method may be embodied in a computer readable media. A driver training system includes a receiver that receives vehicle sensor information associated with a vehicle being driven along a driving route by an individual and a processor coupled to the receiver that assesses performance of the individual based on the received sensor information and an individual mastery level and adjusts the individual mastery level based on the assessed performance of the individual. Driver training protocols and systems and methods for implementing and transforming driver training protocols are also disclosed.
