  • Publication number: 20170345114
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for coordinating a fleet of vehicles that engage in medical transport. One embodiment is a system that includes a fleet control server that receives a request for medical transport of a patient, and that identifies a fleet of vehicles that provide medical transport. The system also includes crew devices at the vehicles that each report a position of a corresponding vehicle, and a reporting server. The fleet control server selects a vehicle in the fleet to perform medical transport of the patient based on the position of the vehicle in relation to other vehicles in the fleet, and determines an interested party that is distinct from the patient. The reporting server reports selection of the vehicle to the interested party, and transmits vehicle tracking data to the interested party in real time as the vehicle services the request.

  • Publication number: 20060041663
Abstract: Systems, methods and software that provide information to a user based upon a combination of both geographic location to the user requesting the information and a determination that the information is provided by a person that is in some way similar to the user. In other words, information is organized such that information about the author of the information is associated with the information. For example, information such as demographics, geographic background, gender, age, as well as less common types of information about the author such as hobbies, interests, memberships and the like are associated with the information. When a specific user desires to access that information, the information is presented such that information from authors who are similar in some relevant way to the specific user is preferred over information from authors who are not similar to the specific user.
