  • Patent number: 11238859
Abstract: A natural-language voice chatbot is initiated and a voice session is established between the chatbot and a customer while the customer is operating a vehicle device within a vehicle. A pre-staged order is taken from a customer during the session and the session is suspended until the customer arrives at a store associated with the pre-staged order. A location-based trigger is raised when the customer is detected as being present at a transaction terminal of a store; the session is resumed on the transaction terminal and/or the vehicle device. The pre-stage order is confirmed during the resumed session and payment is obtained from the customer for the order when payment was not already obtained from the customer. The order is sent to a fulfillment station and, in an embodiment, the items associated with the order are delivered to the customer while the customer remains at the terminal.

  • Patent number: 9522098
Abstract: A reconstitution device having an opening surrounded by a neck, and a cap including a first end, a second end, and an inner bore having a central aperture. A stopper is positioned in the opening of the neck and includes a portion capable of being perforated. A plunger is located at the second end of the cap, is configured to slide along the inner bore of the cap, and includes a shaft extending downwardly in a direction towards the stopper and having a pointed end for piercing the stopper. A locking mechanism is located in the cap and includes an aperture. The locking mechanism is configured such that when the plunger is pushed downwardly the shaft is allowed to pass through the aperture, but when the plunger is pulled upwardly the second aperture changes shape such that the shaft cannot freely pass through the aperture.

  • Publication number: 20160345668
Abstract: A shoe sole for an article of footwear is described herein. The shoe sole extends in a longitudinal direction from a heel region, through a midfoot region, to a forefoot region. The sole includes a midsole and an outsole. The midsole has an upper surface for attachment to at least one of an insole and a shoe upper, and a lower surface disposed opposite the upper surface. The midsole includes a forefoot cushioning element, a midfoot cushioning element, and a heel cushioning element. The outsole is disposed along the lower surface of the midsole and defines a ground-contacting surface of the sole. The sole has an upwardly convex bottom profile such that an impact region of the sole is defined within the midfoot region, and the midfoot cushioning element is disposed within the midfoot region and directly above the impact region of the sole.

  • Publication number: 20140336593
Abstract: Drug delivery devices are provided that are configured to release drug following passive or active activation of the device protecting the drug contained therein. In one aspect, the device may be configured to release a drug following selective application of light irradiation to the device. In another aspect, the device is configured to a release drug following degradation of at least a part of the device body that is formed, for example, from a bioerodible, hermetic material. An exemplary bioerodible, hermetic material is a biodegradable glass. Still other aspects provide for release of a drug upon a combination of both passive and active activation of the device.

  • Publication number: 20140148792
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for selectively delivering a drug by laser activation. The device includes structural elements forming a hermetic, enclosed reservoir, and at least one drug unit contained in the enclosed reservoir. The at least one drug unit includes a drug. The device is able to absorb laser irradiation effective to open the enclosed reservoir to permit release of the drug. The method includes implanting a drug delivery device into a tissue site of a patient, and irradiating at least a portion of the drug delivery device to breach the enclosed reservoir to permit the drug to be released in tissues at the tissue site.
