  • Patent number: 8530792
Abstract: A heatable side window assembly for an automobile, wherein the automobile includes a sideview mirror mounted generally adjacent the heatable side window assembly. The heatable side window assembly includes a glass sheet having an interior surface and an exterior surface and one or more continuous, electrical conductor strips mounted to the interior surface of the glass sheet. The conductor strip outputs radiant heat in response to an electrical current flow therethrough. The conductor strip is positioned such that it generally bounds, but does not enter, an area defined by an operator's line of sight to the sideview mirror of the vehicle. A pair of conductor pads are electrically coupled to the ends of the conductor strip. A switch is provided for selectively outputting a control signal and a controller is electrically coupled between a power supply and the pair of conductor pads.

  • Publication number: 20090286609
Abstract: The present invention includes a skateboard arena simulating an urban landscape, comprising a course including a number of structures used for skateboarding tricks; and a mechanism for electronic real-time scoring of skateboarding tricks performed by a competitor during at least one run on the course. Each structure simulates a feature of an urban landscape. A method for a skateboard competition, comprises starting with a plurality of competitors in a qualifying round. Each competitor is electronically scored each in real-time based on tricks performed. The competitors for a final round are determined. The final round competitors are electronically scored in real-time based on tricks performed and a winner of the competition is declared.

  • Patent number: 7204884
Abstract: A laser marking system for automotive glass having an ink spray device capable of depositing an ink layer upon the glass and a drying system is provided for accelerating the drying of the ink layer. A laser system is also provided to operably heat and bond at least a portion of the ink layer to the glass in a predetermined pattern. A cleansing system removes unbonded portions of the ink layer from the glass and a controller is provided to direct the laser system in the predetermined pattern.
