    Abstract: Carbonaceous slurries are provided in which the carbonaceous slurry stabilizer is selected from the group of(1) the alkyl ether of a polygalactomannan alone, or in combination with xanthan gum or(2) the hydroxyalkyl ether of a polygalactomannan in combination with xanthan gum, or(3) a mixture of said alkyl ether, said hydroxyalkyl ether and said xanthan gum.
