  • Patent number: 10086314
Abstract: A fluid storage reservoir including a reservoir body and a filtration unit is provided. The reservoir body defines an internal cavity, an inlet and at least one outlet. The filtration unit is fluidly interposed between the inlet and at least one outlet of the reservoir body. The filtration unit includes a dispersion mechanism and a filter. The dispersion mechanism is positioned within the internal cavity. The filter is in fluid communication with the inlet and located within the dispersion mechanism. Fluid exiting the filtration unit passes through the dispersion mechanism as the fluid passes into a primary storage region of the internal cavity surrounding the filtration unit.

  • Publication number: 20160251156
Abstract: A new and improved fluid storage reservoir that includes a wave suppression plate is provided. The wave suppression plate inhibits entraining air into fluid stored within the fluid storage reservoir by inhibiting wave formation and splashing of the fluid at the fluid-to-air interface within the fluid storage reservoir. The wave suppression plate is configured to inhibit mixing between a portion of fluid having a lower entrained amount of air below the wave suppression plate and a portion of fluid having a higher entrained amount of air above the wave suppression plate.

  • Patent number: 8287731
Abstract: A return flow filtration assembly for filtering return hydraulic fluid is provided. The filtration assembly includes a first return fluid chamber including a first inlet and first and second of outlets. The second outlet is configured to be coupled to a secondary return flow filter for providing micro-filtering of the return fluid. The first outlet includes a restriction element for restricting flow through the first outlet and generating an artificial back pressure within the first return fluid chamber to drive fluid through the second outlet, when the second outlet is coupled to a secondary return flow filter.

  • Publication number: 20110006070
Abstract: A reservoir is provided. The reservoir defines an internal storage cavity. A plurality of system connections extend through a sidewall of the reservoir defining channels fluidly communicating the internal cavity of the reservoir with the exterior of the reservoir. A valve arrangement has a valve member that operably simultaneously closes off all of the plurality of system connections to prevent fluid flow from the internal cavity through the system connections when in a closed position. The valve arrangement, when the valve member is in an open position, permits fluid flow from the internal cavity and through all of the plurality of system connections.

  • Publication number: 20100065565
Abstract: A breather for a fluid storage tank, a storage tank incorporating same, and a method of releasing pressure in a fluid storage tank is provided. The present invention permits graduated release of pressure within the storage tank by allowing for varied flow rates of air out of the storage tank. In one embodiment, a valve assembly is provided that includes a valve member that has a graduated release feature that adjusts the size of a gap though the valve assembly formed between the valve member and a corresponding valve seat.
