Abstract: A support system includes a headwear system, a frame adapted to have a visor attached thereto, a first member attached to the headwear system, a second member attached to the frame, which is pivotable relative to the first member, an adjustable mechanism adapted to abut and apply force to the second member in a first state to compress the second member into abutting engagement with the first member, an extending pivot member extending axially through a passage in the first member and a passage in the second member. The position of the adjustable mechanism is adjustable to place it in the first state or in at least a second, nonabutting state. The extending pivot member includes a first flange and a second flange, spaced from the first flange to capture a portion of the first member and a portion of the second member therebetween.

Abstract: Disclosed is a shirr-pleated drape and the method of manufacturing the drape. An elongated stiffened fabric strip, preferably crinoline which may be precut to size, is formed with evenly-spaced drapery hook pockets. The drape is provided with a longitudinal rod pocket along the top of a size to accommodate said fabric strip. The drape is gathered on said fabric strip and then attached to said fabric strip at said drapery hook pockets and at the ends of said rod pocket to retain said gathered drape on said fabric strip. When mounted on a rod such as a traverse rod, said drape has the appearance of being shirred when closed, and of being shirred and pleated when open.

Abstract: A protective helmet includes: a rigid shell including a generally domed-shaped section, a three attenuating liner within the dome-shaped section shell and operatively connected to the rigid shell; and a visor mount in operative connection with the force attenuating liner, the visor mount be adapted to have a visor mounted thereto.
