  • Patent number: 5626652
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitation system (100) utilizes laminar flow of a particulate-laden gas in order to enhance the removal of sub-micron sized particulates. The system incorporates a vertically oriented housing (105) through which the gas flows downwardly therethrough to a lower outlet port (110). The gas, which may be a flue gas enters the laminar flow precipitator (102) through an inlet port (108) for passage through a charging section (104). The charging section (104) imparts a charge to the particulates carried by the flue gas. The flue gas and charged particles then flow to a collecting section (106) which is downstream and below the charging section (104). The collecting section (106) is formed by a plurality of substantially parallel tubular members, each tubular member defining a collecting passage therein.

  • Patent number: 5377817
Abstract: A bi-directional accumulation roller conveyor includes a plurality of upper load carrying rollers longitudinally coextensive with and superimposed over a plurality of lower load carrying rollers, a drive for driving the upper and lower load carrying rollers for counter rotation with respect to each other, a first clutch for drivingly engaging the upper load carrying rollers, a second clutch for drivingly engaging the lower load carrying rollers, a actuator for disengaging the clutches respectively in response to the presence of a pallet on each terminal end of the upper or lower plurality of load carrying rollers and a lifting device for transferring pallets between the upper and lower load carrying rollers thereby providing a continuous loop of conveyable pallets and managing pallet flow.

  • Patent number: 5105935
Abstract: An accumulation type roller conveyor drive assembly comprising a sprocket and drive wheel unit rotatably supported on a tubular cylindrical bushing mounted in a housing formed by separate upper and lower portions. These housing portions have sides formed with abutting surfaces lying in a common plane passing through the axis of the bushing, with semicircular recesses engageable with peripheral end portions of the bushing, and with interfitting tabs and recesses for positioning the housing portions in assembled relation. An axle bolt, insertable through openings formed by semicircular apertures in the sides of the housing portions concentric with their respective recesses, and through a central passage in the bushing, receives a nut which when tightened, clamps the sides of the housing portions between the axle bolt head and nut and the bushing ends, thereby locking the drive assembly components in assembled condition.
