    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for intimately mixing and contacting first and second fluids for purposes of scrubbing and cleaning one of the fluids with the other. The apparatus includes a venturi mixer device having a nozzle and feed conduit for mixing two fluid streams together. In addition, the venturi mixer device has an impingement member upon which the mixed stream of fluids impinge immediately following the mixing of the streams of fluid. The venturi mixer devices are preferably arranged in a cascade arrangement with subsequent devices being spaced a vertical distance from the previous respective devices. First and second fluids are mixed together in the initial venturi mixer device. The mixed effluents from the initial and intermediate venturi mixer devices are used as the drive fluid for subsequent, respective, downstream venturi mixer devices to further mix additional second fluid to the mixed effluents.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method are disclosed for controlling fluid delivery into a heat exchanger wherein the temperature and the pressure of the delivered fluid is lower than the temperature and the pressure of the fluid within the heat exchanger and wherein the delivery of the fluid is accomplished without the use of pumps or compressors or other such devices. The delivering apparatus uses the pressure force developed within the heat exchanger after fluid change of phase has occurred therein for delivering the fluid vapor resulting therefrom to an elevation superior to the delivering apparatus by means of a predetermined elevated position of the pressure driven device using the vaporized fluid for its operation and the disposition of the conduit delivering the exhaust therefrom. The exhausted fluid is returned to the liquid condition by means of the heat and pressure expended in operating the pressure driven device and, by additional cooling, if needed.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for controlled vaporization of a liquid fuel and delivery of the vaporized fuel to an internal combustion engine. Vaporizing apparatus, which uses heat generated by the internal combustion engine vaporizes the liquid fuel, and the vaporized fuel is fed to the carburetor of the engine. Means are provided for automatically supplying a vapor fuel to the carburetor as necessary to operate the engine in the absence of sufficient vaporized liquid fuel. The vapor fuel is also delivered to the engine during high acceleration or when the engine is working under very large loads. Means are also included for controlling the generation of vaporized liquid fuel in proportion to the load on the engine, and for recovering any vaporized liquid fuel and vapor fuel which is not used by the engine.

    Abstract: A low pressure/low temperature vapor generating system for use in internal combustion engines includes a supply of water or other liquid to be vaporized, heating apparatus which uses heat generated by the internal combustion engine to heat the water and convert it to steam, conduits for delivering the steam to the intake of the carburetor of the internal combustion engine, and a pressure/temperature control device disposed in the conduit for maintaining the pressure and temperature in the conduit at or below some predetermined levels. Also included is a water flow control tank located between the water supply and the heating apparatus for receiving water from the supply at a controlled rate and for delivering water to the heating apparatus. A condensate separator is located between the pressure/temperature control device and the carburetor for removing condensed water droplets from the conduit carrying the steam to the carburetor.
