  • Patent number: 6003474
Abstract: A leash training device includes a leash cord (3) and a stimulus collar (4,6) coupled to an end of the leash cord. The stimulus collar includes a strap (4) adapted to fit around the neck of an animal to be trained or controlled, and an electrical stimulus unit (6) supported by the strap. The electrical stimulus unit (6) includes a stimulus circuit (16). A transformer (17) coupled between the stimulus circuit (16) and a pair of electrodes (5) for contacting skin of the animal. A measurement device (101) is coupled to the leash cord to measure tension in the leash cord and produce a control signal (106) when the tension exceeds a predetermined threshold. The stimulus circuit (16) produces a drive signal in response to the control signal and applies the drive signal to a primary winding of the transformer (17).

  • Patent number: 5785479
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for withdrawing a spiral coil from a prepacked cartridge set of coils and spirally feeding that coil to a coil guide. A stack of sheets having prepunched holes along a side edge thereof is located so that its prepunched holes are aligned with the coil guide. A rotatable drive roller, proximate the coil guide, engages the withdrawn coil and spirally feeds the coil through the coil guide, such that the spirals of the coil sequentially pass through the prepunched holes. After the lead end of the coil has passed through the prepunched holes of the stack of sheets, it is crimped. The drive roller then reverses direction to spirally feed the coil backwards through the coil guide, whereupon the tail end of the coil is crimped. The movements in the machine are designed to vary dependent upon size of the coil.

  • Patent number: 5678872
Abstract: An automotive vehicle with a vehicle body surrounding a storage area and a storage surface has a bumper with a concealable step side and a fascia side. The bumper is mounted to the vehicle for movement between a fascia position and a step position. In the fascia position, the fascia side is substantially vertical and rearwardly facing, and the step side is substantially concealed from view with respect to the vehicle body. In the step position, the step side is presented substantially horizontal and vertically below the storage area surface to permit step access to the storage surface. The bumper is releasably latched to the vehicle when in the fascia position.

  • Patent number: 5204180
Abstract: A multiple-layer film comprises an oriented propylene polymer substrate having on opposed surfaces thereof, respectively, a first vinylidene halide copolymer having a Tg of up to 25.degree. C. and a molecular weight not exceeding 135,000 and a second vinylidene halide copolymer having a Tg greater than that of the first copolymer.Such films offer excellent sealing profile, blocking resistance, gas-barrier, humid ageing and printing characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4386372
Abstract: Optical mirror adjustment means are disclosed for use in a projection television system having a rear projection viewing screen. The means according to the invention provide for adjusting the reflecting angles of a mirror reflecting an aerial image of a projected television image onto the screen. Pivot means provide for tilting the mirror in elevation, and screw means provide for positionally adjusting and fixing the mirror in a desired elevation angle. Screw means attached to the pivot means provide for positioning and fixing the mirror as azimuthally. The optical mirror adjustment means are such that the mirror can be adjusted to reflect the aerial image in precise coincidence onto the viewing screen.

  • Patent number: 4385313
Abstract: Unitary optical assembly means is disclosed for use in an ultra-compact projection television receiver. The unitary optical assembly means is selectively storable in the receiver cabinet and elevatable therefrom by precision elevating means. The receiver includes a stationary optical assembly means permanently enclosed in the lower portion of the cabinet for forming a television image and projecting, when the unitary optical assembly is elevated an aerial image of the television image upwardly a predetermined image projection distance along an optical path folded by optical path folding means. The unitary optical assembly comprises in combination mirror means arranged at a predetermined angle effective to receive the aerial image and reflect the image forwardly. The unitary optical assembly also comprises rear projection screen means located at the terminus of the optical path and vertically arranged for receiving said aerial image reflected by the mirror means for displaying the image.
