Publication number: 20210097405Abstract: Mechanisms are provided to implement a bias identification engine that identifies bias in the operation of a trained cognitive computing system. A bias risk annotator is configured to identify a plurality of bias triggers in inputs and outputs of the trained cognitive computing system based on a bias risk trigger data structure that specifies terms or phrases that are associated with a bias. An annotated input and an annotated output of the trained cognitive computing system is received and processed by the bias risk annotator to determine if they comprise a portion of content that contains a bias trigger. In response to at least one of the annotated input or annotated output comprising a portion of content containing a bias trigger a notification is transmitted, to an administrator computing device, that specifies the presence of bias in the operation of the trained cognitive computing system.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2019Publication date: April 1, 2021Inventors: Kristin E. McNeil, Robert C. Sizemore, David B. Werts, Sterling R. Smith

Publication number: 20210071772Abstract: A gate valve controls fluid communication from an inlet to an outlet relative to a reference pressure. A body defines a passage disposed in communication with the inlet, and an outlet port disposed in the passage communicates the passage with the outlet. A piston disposed in the passage is movable therein between first and second positions relative to the outlet port. The piston is movable in a first direction from the first position to the second position in response to an inlet pressure at the inlet. A gate disposed on the piston is biased transversely toward the outlet port. The gate moved by the piston adjusts flow from the passage to the outlet port. A pressure compensator disposed opposite the piston biases the piston in a second opposite direction from the second position to the first position. The pressure compensator has a chamber in communication with the reference pressure.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2020Publication date: March 11, 2021Inventors: Max Stetzer, Josh Williams, Robert E. Publication number: 20210072786Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing independent time in a hosted operating environment are disclosed. The hosted, or guest, operating environment, can be seeded with a guest time value by a guest operating environment manager that maintains a time delta between a host clock time and an enterprise time. The guest operating environment can subsequently manage its guest clock from the guest time value. If the guest operating environment is halted, the guest operating environment manager can manage correspondence between the host clock time and the enterprise time by periodically assessing divergence between actual and expected values of the host clock time.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 10, 2019Publication date: March 11, 2021Inventors: ROBERT F. Publication number: 20210064628Abstract: A mechanism is provided for re-ranking search results based on a personal medical condition. One or more medical conditions associated with a patient are identified based on an analysis of patient information associated with the patient. The one or more medical conditions are correlated with a set of medical condition content indicator data structures. A search query corresponding to the patient is processed to generate initial search results that are ranked with an initial ranking. The initial search results are analyzed based on a patient specific dictionary data structure corresponding to the one or more medical conditions associated with the patient.
