    Abstract: A safety light is provided including a housing having a front face, a rear face, and a periphery formed therebetween defining an interior space. The rear face having a recess formed therein. A pin and clasp assembly is coupled within the recess of the housing and adapted to releasably attach the housing to a first recipient surface. A pile type fastener is adhered to the rear face of the housing and surrounds the rectangular recess. The pile type fastener is adapted to releasably attach the housing to a second recipient surface. Also included is a light emitting diode connected to the housing and adapted to illuminate upon the receipt of power. Finally, a switch is connected between the light emitting diode and a battery for allowing the transmission of power to the light emitting diode upon the closing thereof.

    Abstract: A plurality of paging terminals each serving a locality are connected by a multi-drop communication link to establish an inter-regional paging network. The terminals observe a token passing protocol to provide for an orderly sequential use of the communication link. Down terminals are skipped in the sequence. The lack of activity on the communication link will cause a start-up timer in the terminal to reset. Retransmissions are requested by a terminal from another terminal which is on-line when the terminal fails to receive a message in a particular round through the network.

    Abstract: An inflatable gas-tight envelope has a flat sheet-like back with an edge defining the border thereof. The remainder of the envelope presents a three-dimensional item when inflated. A valve in the envelope permits selective inflation and deflation of the envelope. Adhesive on the back of the envelope in the area of the edge thereof permits the envelope to be removably affixed to a supporting surface.

    Abstract: A system for receiving incoming telephone calls on an incoming telephone line and automatically diverting such incoming calls to an outgoing telephone line. The disclosed call diverting system includes a disconnect circuit which automatically disconnects the incoming-call line in response to predetermined conditions indicating that the diverting call has been completed and the calling party has hung up. The disclosed system also includes a call divert control function which informs the called party on the outgoing line that he is receiving a diverted call, and which enables the called party to control the voice-bridging interconnection between the line and the calling party on the incoming line.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for detecting the occurrence of a dial pulse signal in a telephone circuit. Transient signals within the frequency range of possible dial pulse signals are detected, and the amplitude of the detected signals are compared with a predetermined amplitude level. A first time period and a second time period are initiated in response to a first detected signal which exceeds a certain initial reference amplitude, with the duration of the first time period being less than the interval between the two consecutive transient pulse signals to be expected of a true dial pulse signal. The duration of the second time period is substantially equal to the period of a true dial pulse signal. A received signal resembling a dial pulse signal is detected during the first period only if the amplitude of such signal exceeds a second reference amplitude which is greater than the initial reference amplitude.
